Typical cuisine of the place, fast and clean, abundant and delicious dishes, I had a steak and it really had the taste of the mountains, you could feel that it was meat raised on the spot.

Il menù ha una buona scelta e i tempi di attesa non sono eccessivi. I piatti sono abbondanti e il personale cortese e simpatico. Siamo arrivati tardi a pranzo, ma ci ha ancora serviti. Una trattoria certamente apprezzata dai locali.

We shared a lovely meal with new friends made at our guest house. Food was local as was wines. All very tasty with lots of flavours. Service was excellent and very attentive and at the end allowed us time to sit and chat. I would have liked to sample more of the menu but my English stomach was already too full. I'm sorry to put a star because of the kindness and availability! But the food was really bad... we ordered a mixed fried dish which cost €15 and included various things but all of them were frozen and terrible, we had to throw everything away. A margherita looked like those frozen pizzas dripping with oil and a mimosa (ham and corn cream) looked like really horrible ricotta... I felt sick with my stomach right away, I didn't have the chance to finish my dinner... €36 worth garbage

Abbiamo trovato per caso questo ristorante e gentilmente il personale ci ha sistemato un tavolo anche senza aver prenotato. Ciò che ci ha lasciati sbalorditi è stata la gentilezza del personale, erano tutti ragazzi giovanissimi. Abbiamo optato per l'antipasto della casa che comprendeva un mix di salumi e formaggi, fagioli al sugo e radicchio scottato con noci e glassa di aceto balsamico. Continuato con un primo piatto tipico di Scanno di cui non ricordo il nome, ma consiste in gnocchetti ripassati con una verdura selvatica, e agnello scottadito con patatine. Anche i dolci davvero ottimi. Lo consiglio soprattutto per come si viene accolti. Bravissimi!

We ate at LaValle's twice on our three day visit to Scanno. Our hotel booked us a reservation here and since we were unfamiliar with the area, we followed the directions and found the hostess waiting outside for us. From the minute we entered we felt at home. The owner was friendly and explained the menu. We started with a delicious antipasto unlike any here in the States. Bread, ravioli, pizza and desserts were all very delicious. After a long trip it was nice to relax in this friendly restaurant eating delicious food.
