"We were travelling the ZurichZee on ferries and alighted at the furthest point serviced by the ferry we had selected, Lake Side Restaurant was nearby so we chose to dine there. WOW! we were so glad we did. We were taken to a table outside...shaded by an awning, it was a very hot day. Our waiter was excellent and soon we settled in to our lunch. I believe that it takes a really excellent chef to make a burger into a masterpiece, well my burger was a masterpiece, tasty, succulent and complex, with subtle flavours announcing their presence on the palate. I needed a second glass of Vallerosso. This was expensive, but not unreasonably. All of Switzerland is expensive, To put this in perspective on the previous evening we had ordered 2 pizzas and two cans of beer delivered to our hotel. The pizzas were **** but the beer was OK, and it cost us 60 Swiss francs. So although I described our meal as expensive, it represented outstanding value because we all enjoyed our meal at the Lake Side, and that is a memory we will take from Zurich."

Got served the wrong drinks. Drinks we didn't order. I complained but not even an apology. And on top of all she made us pay the full amount. Included the drinks we haven't ordered. !!!

Nice brunch, stunning view, nice people! The waitress, Filipa, was really nice and helpful! A variety of delicious plates at the buffet and the guests receive a glass of champagne when arriving. Congrats! View menu

Tuna steak was the worst I ever ate.. We had salmon too was terrible as well. Cake of the day very bad. The only nice thing about this place location and the view. I would never spend this money here again. And...would not recommend for anybody. Strange that in such a city like Zurich still have this kind of “cookers”. This Sunday dinner worst time of the day

An Iberian-themed restaurant with a view on lake Zurich. But many things are just completely wrong: "wait to be seated" took minutes, even with reservation. And there wasn't any queue nor was our table not ready. Salad arrives with no dressing. But...neither Oil nor Vinegar are on the table Waiters always forget who ordered what. So it's always a "who has XY?! when orders arrive super extensive wine list, but unfortunately waiter doesn't have a clue what to recommend. Yes, you can watch beautiful lake Zurich. But at a rather high price for very little value. I wouldn't go there again

We were a group of 14 having a big family dinner after a wedding. The table was perfect, right on the waters’ edge. As a big group we had to chose from the “small menu”, which had about the same amount of dishes as most...restaurants main menus. I had the gourmet burger, which was very good and cooked exactly how I asked for. I also tried the Zuri-style veal, which is what I’ll order next time. Everyone in the group was very happy with their food. I’d like to thank the staff who looked after us by name but they did such a good job of keeping my G&T full that my memory isn’t quite what it should be... thank you anyway ladies, we had a great night! We went there for a little family gathering. It is a prime location on the shore of lake Zurich. Very nice view. The service was very forthcoming and friendly. The food a bit average, though. Bombastic descriptions on the menu card, less bombastic performance (the...rumpsteak was dry, the piece of Polenta, too maybe warmed up in the micro oven, we don't know). Average prices considered the location and the city (Zurich is generally expensive). Bad coincidence: There was a party ongoing on the balcony of the floor above us (also belonging to the restaurant) with loud music suited for dancing, not for dinner. The restaurant should have mentioned that fact, when we booked the table.

A recurring visitor in Zurich, my husband and I decided to walk along the lake and look for a lunch option! We ended up at the Lake Side restaurant and had an absolutely wonderful meal. First the welcome was gracious and we sat at a...great table overlooking the lake. Second, our server was as wonderful as could be.... Already two stars out of 5.... Now the food: weary of imported' food, I still went for the steamed halibut which came absolutely perfect along with jasmine rice, and boy choi perfectly cooked (note to North American cooks, it is completely OK to have Bok Choi crunchy).. The sauce to be drizzled at will over the dish was heavenly.... Enough for me, my husband had a Mediterranea...

"This is my fav Italian joint in Zurich. La Famiglia Tremonte is a small, family run cafe-restaurant that serves excellent and authentic Italian food at prices that are low compared to the norm in Zurich.Famiglia Tremonte is rather inconspicuously located at the corner of Zurlindenstrasse and Birmensdorferstrasse, a couple of doors away from The Desperado Mexican Restaurant. You might need to look for it a little: I lived practically next door and did not notice it for almost a year, and even then a friend had to point it out to me.The restaurant is mostly a takeout with very little seating, i.e. 7 people inside, and when the weather is goo, about 5 people outside. The ambience is basic but, like most things in Switzerland, the interiors are very clean. Staff and service are very goo. The food here is awesome! Authentic Italian fare that is probably heavily influenced by Sicilian tradition since that is where the family is from. I used to visit almost every day because the food tastes great and the prices are so low for Zurich. I have tried almost everything: several pasta dishes, polpettine, stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf, piadina, and of course, the fabulously tasty and hot chilli infused EVOO. I enjoyed every dish I ordered. Great stuff! I strongly recommend the super-hot chilli infused EVOO as a seasoning for almost all dishes, but especially the pasta dishes that come in a cream sauce. Please be careful with chilli EVOO: 0.5 tbsp. for noobs, and a max. of 2 tbsp. for those who like it hot. The chilli EVOO, when used appropriately, adds great flavour to your dish. The piadina is the best I have eaten - period. I have been all over the world, spent a lot of time in Italy and New York (: great place for Italian food lovers :), and I still think this is the best piadina ever. They also serve some nice Italian desserts -- I've tried a few but have forgotten the names. They also have a small selection of Italian ingredients for sale. I bought the pesto and was happy with it. You also get a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic Italian drinks to go with the food.Prices are relatively low by Zurich standards: I rarely ever ate for more than CHF 15, and if I skipped the drinks it was usually around CHF 10. Of course, this varies a bit according to what you order.Highly recommended. Glad I found this place. Great for office workers in the vicinity."
