"Sought this one out on the strength of the reviews here, and it was well worthwhile. Monday lunchtime it 's not always easy to find somewhere, we didn 't book, it was quite busy and we came in with our dog. They were a bit hesitant, not because they minded but because they didn 't want her to get trodden on the tables are quite closely spaced, it 's a fairly small place. But then a lovely couple who 'd just got settled with their drinks in a place with a dog safe corner offered to change to another table so we could be more comfortable, which was SO kind and a really good start, and the owner/chef and waitress quickly sorted it out. We had the cheapest two course menu, an apéritif and small pichet of wine, it was all really good and very reasonably priced. My husband had fish with a light curry sauce, beautifully cooked and well flavoured, I had an interesting 'chorizette ' sausage, a bit like a merguez but with chorizo sort of flavouring and a nice texture, locally produced and again very crisp and perfectly cooked, and we had pan fried (poêlées new potatoes, which made a pleasant change from chips (potatoes are good round here . Then dame blanche and creme brûlée for dessert, very nice. The wine was basic Gascogne white but a good one too. The service was lovely, the guy is cooking in the middle of the place but he was so laid back and friendly, happy to talk and advise, speaks lovely English (but didn 't mind speaking French with me either! , and serves as well, and the waitress was a sweetie, no shortage of smiles at all and both relaxed and efficient. As I say, we had the basic menu and the food was quite simple but good, and just right for our appetites; you could spend more and no doubt have something more extravagant and special, there were some interesting things on the menu. Also lots of whiskies and rhum arrangé in evidence... It 's a bit out of the way but well worth seeking out (we asked directions in the mag presse in town , and St Pol is an interesting and attractive town."

Had a very pleasant evening meal here while staying overnight in St Pol De Leon en route to the nearby Roscoff ferry port. Very welcoming and friendly service, interesting menu reasonably priced and excellent food. Recommended.

a beautiful table, a beautiful slate of fresh products. beautiful flavors. I recommend you the smoky fish plate, because it's home to dessert. Quick service and waitress at the top. a beautiful address not to miss at Saint pol.

I like St Pol de Leon and this restaurant is one of the reasons. We choose the set menu and it was cooked and delivered with expertise. A bottle of cote de gascogne partnered my kebabs well and we were well looked after. Good straightforward cooking with good service

The chef is part of the kitchen in the room, it's an interesting kind. However, this reduces the number of dishes that are offered on the slate that serves as a map, hence the name of the restaurant. on the other hand it is also a sign of freshness for all dishes, nothing to hide. the reception is friendly, the value ratio is satisfactory, an address to be tested on st pol.

Surprise surprise!!! Service with a smile and a chef who knows his business. We had an excellent meal here. Not fancy, or poncy. If want to experience an expensive Michelin star experience then go down the road. The food was tasty, prepared and cooked perfectly, seasoned to perfection and served with a smile. What more could you want with a 3 course meal for 26 euros. Great food with a friendly atmosphere and a very very good experienced young chef/owner who really knows hows to cook. A rare experience these days, believe me. Can’t wait to go back.

I went there on noon and evening so I had my lunch experience. very good and nice menu at 14 euros on noon. the evening menu at 26 euros. The lunch service is slower than at night. On the noon I laughed as an entrance a fish terrine followed by a beef bath served with its well crispy and hot bindge fries accompanied by a green salad and finished with a cream burned with william pear (living water). The burnt cream was perfect except that it missed the small taste of william pear. otherwise it was perfect. with aperitif to start it cost me about 46 euros (whisky and kir).Take the time to chat with the owner, it is he who makes the kitchen he will gladly answer all your questions.
