"After waiting for over one hour for a glass of wine and a little tapas for sure my mood was going the wrong way. The waiter, a nice guy, tried hard but all he did was forget my order ‘what was the wine you ordered again?’ ...‘well the one you suggested’, ‘did I confirm your foodorder?’... how should I know, you suggested some vegetarian optians: a little bowl of beans, some cheese and home made houmous and finally I was served a dish with 3 little bowls of stuff I could not identify as the nice guy was very busy with some lovely girls next table After eating some this dish I asked : this is a very strange type of cheese? It was fish..and he was very sorry.. Anyway I lost my appetite and I asked the owner for the bill and some discount for the wrong food -and horrible experience. The rude answer was : wel we apologized, that should count. I told him we would do things different in our country Holland and he replied : well this is France. Not the best promotion I should say. So I had to pay for the food and went home with a stomach ache of this fishy nightmare and rude behaviour of the owner. I had to pay 33,70 euro for two glasses of wine and the little vegetarian nightmare tapas. In the end I asked myself: It's weird, like would you serve bread to someone with gluten allergie? NO .Serve pork to a moslim? NO! So why serve dead animals to a vegetarian? Dear veggies: Do NOT Ever Go There..."

It was a pleasant little lunch under large planes. A nice cheese plate and a fresh garden salad with a twist. Local wines, recommended by our waiter, were very good. Happy times:

Went here with my mum for a leisurely lunch. Gorgeous atmosphere with outdoor seating shaded by the trees. We had a fabulous bottle of white with three delicious courses. The service was excellent, everyone was so friendly. Wonderful place, I would highly recommend.

Lovely little wine shop, bar, restaurant. Very helpful, knowledgeable staff. Nice selection of wines as well as snacks of tapenade, olives, bread, local goats cheese etc as well as more substantial offerings. Highly recommended to stop for a wine tasting and some food, we’ll be back!

We went here for dinner, and had an amazing experience. Our waiter (apologies for forgetting his name) was so helpful as our French is not wonderful, and basically just recommended things we should try. They all ended up being great, and the wines they serve are various and very, very good. My only regret is not getting the names of what I tried! Absolutely go here if you get the chance.

Had lunch here, almost by accident. We saw good looking food being brought out and were attracted by the shade from the trees. We were very lucky as the food was very good, the wines superb and very friendly, helpful service. Our server had spent time in the UK and his English was good he took us through what wines we like and matched our taste with a superb array of wines. Pity they were closed on the following day which was our last day on holiday

We always have a lunch a l'Atelier des Vins, every time we are in Montpellier. It is always a lovely experience. Situated in a quiet location away form the busy streets. Very friendly staff, fresh lovely food, vin by the glass, three-course lunch menu. We asked the owner if we could switch the cake/dessert from the menu with some fresh fruit, because my husband is diabetic, it was accepted right away and with a smile. We will definitely come again next time we visit to Montpellier.

We spent a lovely evening in L'Atelier. The place has this kind of French sofistication that you expect from Montpellier. The quality of the good was very good and the wines were wonderful. Our waiters were very helpful, especially a young blonde guy with beard. This was the only place were we could eat local specialities, like aligot. It is a bit expensive, but it is really worthy. We paid 40 euros per person, including aligot, foie gras, some tapas, dessert and some of the best wines we had ever tried. Perfect for a romantic evening.

Superb location. Wonderful place in chic and cool Montpellier. Upscale and fresh food. Crossover French and Thai, we had the tomato soup with Thai herbs. Unusual taste, but rather refreshing. Wouldn't think Thai or French at all, but tasty and quite good. The friendly sommelier/waiter suggested a dry, local wine which was crispy and fruity and perfectly drinkable. The noodle salad with beef was Ok. Bland noodles and so so salad. Very good beef. The cherry on the cake was a taste of Chateau d'Yquem 2003 by the glass. At 13 Euros for 2 cl. it was a treat! I've tasted better vintages of this iconic wine, but it was sublime. Try this once in your life! Very nice experience, but the crossover was...

Having stumbled across this place while exploring Montpelier, Sebastien (Sommelier Consultant) after showing interest in the variety of wines invited us in to view the extensive range of wines they have not only on display but also for tasting (Little did he know I am a partner in one of Australia's Premier Wineshops in Sydney The AWC). As we were before the lunchtime crowd, he spent time with us explaining the wines of the region and places we should visit. Deciding to stay for lunch, we enjoyed both freshly prepared and well presented meals, and each main course was served with a selection of two local cheeses to finish of the meal. Again, Sebastian provided advice on what wines to pair wi...
