"We ate moules and fajitas there. The fajitas was good, the moules very dry and not recommendable. The Waitress was very nice but the boss of the restaurant not at all. We felt fooled.we have been talked more or less into some frites as a side dish , we thought there would be no additional costs. (But there were 5€ for some frites) the most braven thing about that was, that my boyfriend could have eaten as many fries he wanted to. (Moule avec frites à volonte. (He didn't reorder) but i have been talked into fries and had to pay 5€. And a bottle of sparkling water is 6€. Which really is way to much!!! As we said something about the fries the boss was very unfriendly and rude!!!!We do not recommend this Place!!!"

Stopped here for late lunch, I had moule with Roquefort and my son had the baked squid, both excellent.

Delightful staff, careful preparation of food, generous portions make this a great restaurant. They are also inquisitive about new foods, and have a foodie approach to their restaurant.

Ate here because food looked decent and they had a tv to watch the Euros on. Ended up staying about two hours there. I had chicken fajita which was decent. Nice selection of wines and the hosts were friendly.

good address, broke up to receive us while so many other addresses don't seem interested in having a world. good original mussel sauces, in a large well-stocked pan from which these comments qq of people who had never commented strangely. , basque inspiration, sangria and pleasant terrace. No bad fries. a dozen people really enjoyed the address.

We visited for dinner with the children. Staff were friendly and efficient. The menu enfant at €9.90 was a success, consisting of moules or chicken nuggets with frites, and an ice lolly with a "surprise". We had the moules piment noir with frites, a large portion of moules in a mustard and parsley sauce. Together with a bottle of wine and three soft drinks, the meal came to just short of €90. A pleasant experience.

reception and service during the meal were excellent. It puts us in a good mood during the meal. We took the suggestion of fried mussel. A pleasure! you have several choices in terms of seasoning of mussels: marinière, curry etc. their specialty is black pepper molds. Really. Sauce is high if necessary. A pleasure. the fries are at home and at will they have 2 desserts home: the tiramisu and the panna cotta. We took the shotamisu and frankly we're having fun. Don't hesitate to go for a ride!

On a very wet June day my husband and I found sanctuary in this great little restaurant. The service from staff and owners was very thoughtful and capable and they made us immediately feel welcome. The food seemed authentic and the quality of the food was probably 7.5 out of 10 (I'm fussy). The wine choice and apero choice was good and relevant to the size of the great little restaurant. And we could easily have stayed another hour to chat with the owner and enjoy their company. We would go back, although probably not with a large group - it suits couples and groups of 4.

Blue Mussels is one of the most offered meals in Arcachon. While the cooking seams to be simple, we rarely found good quality of mussels with a good sauce. The Piment Noir was the only restaurant so far where we found a good balance. Mussel a la Piment Noir with a mustard sauce is ok, we liked much more the classic version/ Moule Mariniere. The fried potato seem to be home made and fresh. We tried as well the salad with goat cheese. Was ok but definitely not the highlight. Finally: service was good. Price balance acceptable. And we think you will get the best Mussels in center of Arcachon at the Piment Noir.

"We stayed in La Test-de-Buch and was looking for a nice place to have a celebratory dinner to set our vacation off to a good start and we found this little gem at the end of the pier. We were lucky to have an outdoor...seating overlooking the smal fish harbour across from us. We stayed for a good hours and has the pleasure of experiencing the tide come back a lift the boats up in the dock. It is a fairly small place with limited seats and worked with a set menu. fish and meat mains, a selection of starters and and deserts. Our party opted for mains and desserts since it had been a very warm day. Selection of wines is nice and local, which is obvious given the area. half the party opted for fish and half for the meat. What was really above and beyond was that they made the extra effort, as one in the party is vegetarian, to put up a special dish off the menu for her. The meat was made perfect the way we asked for it; medium rare and had a nice roasted crust off the grill. The sauce and butter with it had a lot of flavour and complemented the dish nicely. Potatoes had a very nice crusty and excellent seasoning. The fish was delicate and enhanced by a very tasty risotto. Desserts option were very traditionally french; creme brûlée, lemon curs, cheese platter and a selection of sorbets. The Creme Brûlée was top notch and portions were above average, which was great given the tastiness. The lemon curd crumble dessert was to die for. All layers, crumble, curd, different types of meringue, was amazing on its own and together it was next level. Ice cream and sorbets were all made in the restaurants and a very nice option for dessert. Sorbets had a lot of fresh labor to it. This place may be a little hard to find/get to outside the immediate restaurant area for the village, but well worth the extra effort. Price wise slightly above average for the area, but for us a great value for money."
