We got really lucky and stole the last table for 2. Excellent dinner and great service. Best meal we had in Chalons; highly recommended if you can get a table!

Had a really good meal here while staying in the Reynard. Discussions about the menu and drinks were a bit difficult....perhaps our French was not good enough!

Returned to this little restaurant in the heart of Chalons after 8 months. Still fantastic food and lots of new creative dishes on the menu. All delicious with courteous service. Excellent value for money.

We had a very good meal here the starter was delicious, but I have to say the duck that we both had to follow was a bit dry. But overall we certainly would go here again. The service was good, and the house wine also good. A very pleasant evening in a very nice town,

We had a great dinner here, which I really cannot fault. The menu was diverse enough to suit most tastes, and they stock a good selection of wine from various French regions. Prices are very reasonable. The staff were friendly and efficient, the restaurant was very clean, and they were happy to accep my dog. I will happily eat there again if I am ever in Chalons.

We stayed in Chalons En Champagne overnight and had lunch here. It's family run and the staff were so so helpful and friendly! The food was the best I've ever tasted in France, and the price was very reasonable. The staff made us very welcome, especially the children. I would highly recommend this restaurant! If you are ever in this town the restaurant is a must!

How do you choose a restaurant in a French town? Find a menu you fancy at a price you can afford and then note that it is full of local. We took a recently vacated table and more people came in while we were there and were prepared to wait.Typical French brasserie food, choice of wine in carafe, cosy surroundings. My only issue would be that there were three people serving but it was all a bit random as they all served all tables.

Les Sarments only has a few tables in the main square. At those tables you can enjoy a good Gfench dinner of traditional dishes prepared exceptionally well of fresh ingredients. The first and main dishes of the 21,50 menu were delicious, both meat and fish, and fromage blanc desserrs were very refreshing and tasty. Service was very attentive and friendly, despite some lack of common words. The location was very entertaining between the dishes.

Our B&B host recommended this restaurant and we were fortunate to reserve the last available table . Service was prompt but not hurried, the options on the menu for the day were so enticing it was a difficult choice . We both had a seafood salad to begin excellent) then a sea trout and a leg of lamb for mains, strawberry millefeuille for dessert. 3 courses €29 with a very reasonable 50cl of rose to accompany . The restaurant was full with several couples turned away as they arrived on spec. The atmosphere was great , no tedious background music, just happy chatter . We enjoyed the whole evening enormously
