"I had booked a table here for me, my mam and my pregnant sister after reading the menu online and the reviews, which seemed generally positive. When we arrived we were seated and ordered a bottle of sparking water. We were giving the lunch time menu even though it was half five. They don 't start the evening menu until 7pm. I had not viewed the lunch time menu online and I can 't recall there actually being an option to view the lunch time menu? I may be wrong on this account but I can 't remember seeing it. Unfortunately nearly every item on the lunch time menus contained cheese which my sister is currently unable to eat. My sister asked if she could see the night time menu instead and the waitress answered 'no, it 's lunch menu until 7 ' immediately without checking with anyone. My mam then asked what was in the special pasta and the description we got was 'pasta with zucchini in it ' and we had to seek further clarification about what sauce it was in, if any other meat or fish or vegetables were in it etc etc. Not really the best description! We decided to pay for our water and leave as there was nothing suitable on the menu for my sister and no soft drinks besides the normal high sugar fizzy drinks and water were available. I would have liked to think a Winery may have got one or two non alcoholic wines in but alas, no! The waitress brought our bill and at this point the manager came over nd said that he had spoken with the chef and we could choose from the evening menu. Unfortunately this was too little, too late as we had already agreed to leave. If the waitress had said she would ask or check with the chef initially, then we would have probably stayed but as we were just immediately told no, we saw no point in staying. I can not comment on the quality of the food but I think the service definitely left something to be desired and the very limited lunch menu should have a few more dishes added without cheese and it should be made clear that evening service does not begin until after 7pm."

the hotel is located in the klostergarten is a must go to the place when they eat Italian kitchen and tired of uk. ragu was really good in taste. must mention that the personal is really cooperative and helps in preparing food. the best is that they use good amounts of wine in food.

it was good. but not exceptional. we had to share the big cheese and meat plate: it was big and a good start. then we asked about the orchid with basilikum and tomato sauce (good, but again nothing very special, the tomato sauce was very easy,) the lamb, the cadjau (one of the best teller of the evening the tomato soup (only a regular tomato soup with a egg in the middle,) the boiled meat (also quite tasty,) but the best for melanggi

Walking around Covent Garden when we saw some superb dishes tapas . But this is an Italian restaurant ... after all the best tapas are Italian : . We steped in , the manager was very nice to get us a table when the room was already well populated . For us a mixed of charcutery and cheeses, to drink a (beatiful) red wine Apuglia -served chilled. The child ate a magnificent steak with vegetables and sautéed potatoes. At the end the tiramisu and ice cream were the icing on the cake. On a countdown to return...

We were going to passar na rua, ao fim da tarde, seeking um sitio to drink um gin and quickly fomos attracted by this spaço, full of vinho scribble, harmoniously dispostas em prateleiras, side by side com cans de azeite de diversas tamanhos e de uns boiões cheios com aquilo que nos pareceu massão. assim, squecida a ideia do gin, entrámos e fomos ficando, entretidos por um vinho tinto italiano (de puglia, se a memória não me falha,) por queijos também italianos (entre os quais estava um magnificent queijo smokedo que os italianos tão bem fazem,) azeitonas carnudas y diversas types

Li Veli has the potential for greatness but falls short. Pros- Amazing location and super modern, inviting decor. The first floor is bright, with orderly shelves of wine, oil, vinegars, ect that can (I presume) be purchased The actual presentation of the food was pretty. Makes for a pretty picture that is somewhat deceiving to the actual quality Unfortunately, that is about where my pros list ends Cons- Service is abysmal. Took ages to be seated because none of the staff members cared to walk over to the customer standing in their doorway. Once seated, I waited another 10 minutes for a menu. I was fairly hungry that day, so I ordered a soup, a pasta and a glass of their house...read more

we walk on an evening and look for a restaurant in the covent garden. I saw this place before, but never had the chance to try it from the menu convinced and on the look for some Italian food in london, we gave it a try, I think the menu on zomato is not updated as I took some fresh maritati pasta in apulian meat ragù. it was really good and filled as dessert we had a trulletto mandelflon, especially as dessert, but very nice we have paired it with a white wine for eating that we have eaten and the quality, the price was ridiculously cheap in comparison to london standards the staff was very warm and always further hints what we should have ordered, I will return definitiw! Perfect...read mo...

Li Veli Winery and Bistro, on Long Acre in Covent is bringing the simple authentic cuisine of Puglia, the boot of Italy, to London. I was invited in for a review, and as soon as we arrived we were treated like VIPs. Our reserved table in the window was perfect for people watching, both on the street and inside this modern, spacious and stylish eatery featuring elements of Apulian design Our very charming maitre d', Nicolas, ushered us to our seats and remained attentive but not intrusive for the evening. From the Antipasti menu he recommended the Apulian Frisella' Bread and the Fave e Cicora, a broad bean mash with chicory. Not being a huge fan of tomatoes, I tentatively ordered the...read m...

We sat outside so that may have been the problem. The cheese on toast with sliced courgette was nice enough. The meat platter didn’t have nearly enough bread so they charged us for extra at £4 making the starter £14! No oils or condiments were offered. I ordered the Sea Bass Mediterranean which I was told didn’t need any accompanying dishes. It did! At £16.50 it came in a small pool of tomato dressing with some shrivelled up olives. When I complained they offered vegetables but but the time they arrived the fish was cold and I had lost my appetite. The Tiramisu was even worse as the bread inside was still hard and the whole thing was dry and covered in chocolate powder. My friend said her pa...
