"Hello folks, On a special day, like my engagement today, we were looking for a very quiet and romantic restaurant and we found that in this hotel. It is very appealing, especially the burning fireplace and the pleasant feeling of having arrived at a beautiful place of history. We were greeted extremely courteously and that was exactly what we wanted. The table was already set and reserved. Everything was as discussed. Two waitresses looked after us and I have to say that perfection was their top priority. Everything was perfect. I can recommend this restaurant 100%. Enjoy it! The surroundings are an absolute dream even as (Koblenz).. Fantastic!"

It was a birthday s weekend and a cuddly at the Moselle we offer with a 5 go menu for 199 euros. Breakfast was the bright choice of staff super friendly. The rooms were not cozy for only sleeping.schade.But the views and routes for and with the wheel class. For younger guests there are definitely other overnight stays at the beautiful Moselle

Room dates from the 80s. The hallway smells of smoke, the smoke detector is constantly clicking, so a restful sleep is not possible. The point that this is very disturbing and that a restful sleep is not possible is not addressed. A no-go for this price range! Water in the room costs €2.50 for 0.5l. No luggage rack. Reception and emergency numbers cannot be reached via telephone. With 3 stars and around 170€/night I expect a different standard. Rooms: Very old-fashioned and noisy. View of the inner courtyard.

Small simple rooms in morbid style of 60. Years. mattresses. No fridge and very small bathroom with very small deposit option. The breakfast buffet is good, the dinner in the form of a 3 course menu on average. Very nice ambience in the Spiesesaal, but much too little staff for the number of guests. The stress of the trained staff was transferred to the guests, with long waiting times between the corridors you have to expect, tables are not cleared, although staff lehr came past. Small extra requests were forgotten on the way.... the hotel itself has come strong in the years. corridors, window benches, outriggers ...have sloppy.

"The castle café in Alken was noticed during the passage. It was afternoon, we had coffee sausages. So we stopped our car at the Mosel and went to the café. It was huge, some tables free. So we went to the cake counter first. Many delicious cakes waited for the guests. Not so easy to decide. Finally we found it suitable for us. The friendly lady behind the vault asked if she could give us the plates because she was quite full and the operators hardly came back. My companion took the plates. I looked at a table. Too bad I saw someone in the conservatory with a direct view of the Moselle. I went straight to the table. Once there, he was already cleaned by a waiter – a nice Italian, as we found later. He picked up our coffee order. We haven't waited too long for our drinks. Outside it was raining, we were sitting inside, watching the water and the countryside around them. It was nice here. The cake was absolutely delicious, really recommended. In addition to the cake counter, I had discovered another counter where homemade chocolates were sold at a very good price for these delicacies. At the end of the visit I went back to the sales room and made a selection of delicious chocolates compiled. I still have some, they're gradually eating. Too bad the café is so far away from home. The castle café is huge, with about 200 seats in various rooms. There is also a hotel service, also for bus groups. The rearmost room is designed as a restaurant, for guests and visitors. All rooms have a beautiful view of the Moselle. Surely a mass operation. Nevertheless, we sat a bit relaxed in the winter garden. There are many employees. We believe that we have reduced the average age of visitors – we are long beyond the 20: we recommend a visit to the café. Despite the wealth that speaks for the house, we did not have to wait too long. Naschkatzen shouldn't miss the chocolates."
