"we stayed in the hotel and tried to eat in 2 other restaurants, but without reservation we landed back in the hotel and decided to just eat here. it was a good decision. When we arrived, there was not much going on, so we sat right away. we had all night the attention of the 3 dining room staff, so the service was good for us. We started dinner with the Bavarian mushroom cream soup. it's more a broth than a real cream soup, but very good. for dinner my man ordered calves and parts of them were tender and parts of them were tender, that is 50/50 for the quality of this court. I ordered a steak medium rare and it was delicious! the sauces for broth are unusual (for me), but good. we have also eaten our breakfast as part of our room package. they get everything from traditional European breakfast, müsli, yogurt, baked to hot foods like eggs/speck etc. it was a great breakfast. we even have a cappuccino to take away!"

enjoy excellent cuisine in a beautifully decorated restaurant with very friendly staff. the restaurant is located on the first floor of the hotel sun, directly in the city center.

we ate here at our first night during our stay at the hotel. the food was great for all: we had a pfeffersteak, stone butter fillet and white carving. eating is traditional German cuisine, nothing revolutionary but well prepared. the personal was super friendly and attentive. I'd eat here again.

we have eaten here 3 tomorrow and the employees were able to offer gluten-free rolls every morning. speck and eier were also available. we were not in the hotel and paid our breakfast cash. the staff was very friendly and helpful. other foods to the breakfast were delicious and very well presented.

as we stayed in the hotel sun we wanted to eat here after we had read the good critiks and also because of the comfort. the dinner was excellent and the portion was quite large for us three. When we finished our main courts, we were very full and asked if we could take our desert. the staff then kindly packed them for us in kartons. View menu

we ate here when we stayed at the sun hotel and were very disappointed. actually it was our last meal in Germany during our 10-day vacation and it was at a distance the least pleasant meal. pre-printed menus, international favorites, pretty boring stuff. do not want to jump from a building if they only clear this mediocrity away? I would.

my wife and I stayed in the hotel sun and explored feet for dinner. we have sampled 4 different restaurants, based on trip Advisor reviews, but none of them has accepted credit cards. we were close at the time. we finally landed in maximilians, as it was in the hotel. we both loved eating. we both had the mushroom cream soup and the allgäuer filetgericht and were both enthusiastic. not only eating was good, but we also experienced the best service there throughout our trip. we ate when they opened at 18:00, and all the time we were there for dinner, only about 10 people in the restaurant. we also ate our free breakfast there and it was just as good. this must be one of the best guarded secre...

"We know Alatsee as a walking destination and decided this year to stay at the hotel by the lake as a centre for more walking and perhaps some nature. Booking was through Booking.com and straightforward. We decided on a minisuite for extra room and comfort...should the weather not cooperate. but it did so that was even nicer. The Suite consisted of a sitting room/lounge attached to a bedroom area and bathroom. All was very comfortable and agreeable. Sadly the room was at the back so there was neither much of a view and indeed no balcony for sitting out. I found that rather surprising and wonder if we had an inferior' room. But the place was pleasant enough, the welcome warm and the services all worked. It was nice to be able to take walks straight from the Hotel instead of driving anywhere and after the day visits had ended we had the lake area almost to ourselves. Breakfasts was the usual germanic buffet of cereals, cold meats and cheeses with juice and yoghurt. The service was excellent and indeed the staff actually prepared soft boiled eggs to order and timed to perfection which made a welcome change to the usual hard boiled offerings usually available. A real find for the british palette. What we found most odd was that despite being an excellent restaurant last orders for dinner was as early as 17.00. We are not habitual late diners but felt this was rather strange particularly as we were resident in the place. The place seemed to close up around 18.00 as staff left for home so I don't even know if the bar remained open later. As we had a mini apartment /suite we could of course have our own post prandial drinks in the evening but wonder how guests in smaller rooms fared."
