"We were travelling back home to the UK and wanted lunch before going to Pisa airport. All our normal stopping places were shut so we decided to go to Ponsacco to find somewhere. Il Ponte di Sacco was open and looked ok. When we arrived...we were the only customers but within 15 minutes the place was very busy. We had Fritto Misto and Tagliata di Tonno both of which were very good. The prices were a bit higher than average but fish is becoming a luxury food in many places. Service was good and the front of house guy was friendly. The fact that most of the diners were regulars, local businessmen eating their lunch, mostly by themselves, was a recommendation in its own right."

We were looking for somewhere for last Italian meal en route to Florence airport. Lovely fish dishes and pasta. Very friendly staff and full of local business men so popular. Delizioso!

adriania is very well known about her eating and her husband knows a considerable amount of wines.... quick a combination! we visited the restaurant a few times and the food was excellent at both places. fish or meat is all served beautifully. the starters are for the deserts to die. look at it.You will not be disappointed

This restaurant was recommended to us by our B&B, specifically because we asked for a fish restaurant. When we got there, it turned out they have their own parking, which is a bonus. We ordered the crudites (raw seafood platter) as a starter, which was...excellent and very fresh. We then had fish dishes for our main course. Lovely and fresh, and well prepared. When the fish arrived at the tale, the restaurant owner (I think) showed us how to fillet the fish, which was very educational (use spoons, not knives Desert and coffee were also good. Attentive and professional service and a reasonable bill made us happy and satisfied.

I was already a couple of times at this place that eating is excellent, their specificity is fish, but they also served other plates, I am passionate for fish, so my standards are high and I was very satisfied with this place of the minute. they come there, they are greeted with a smile, they serve efficiently in a warm atmosphere, they are very generous in their portions and appetizers. they have a great choice of weeping and being other than toscan, this place offers some specialities from other places, such as paella, which was tasty and beautifully served. if you want a great toscan experience, I highly recommend stopping by!

"We visited this restaurant twice, once in a group of two couples and once as a larger family group. We thoroughly enjoyed it each time. The interior of the restaurant is much larger than it seems from outside and can seat many people. Despite this, service is efficient and friendly. It is very much a family restaurant on one of our visits, two adults supervised about 20 10 year olds at a birthday party and all of the staff, including chefs, are very good with children. The menu is quite extensive, and includes quite a few seafood dishes. I particularly enjoyed the carpaccio of smoked fish antipasto, and the grilled fish main course. They have an extensive pizza menu and offer pizzas in different sizes, and the pizza oven is right in the centre of the restaurant, so you can watch your pizza being made. They have a good selection of drinks, including draught beer, but the house wine is very good and surprisingly inexpensive. Prices overall are lower than other restaurants that we tried in the area: the Florentine steak was the cheapest we saw anywhere (and it was delicious). Surprisingly, they have no natural juice drinks such as apple or orange, only fizzy drinks, so our bambina had to get by with fizzy water. The restaurant has a lively buzz, so some may find it noisy, but it makes for a good atmosphere. Most of the other diners were locals, so it does feel like an authentic Italian restaurant. Probably my favourite restaurant in Capannoli."
