"Limited parking but that didn’t deter the folks who piled in and out whilst I was there. Super range of take away meals. There was a table full of paper carrier bags waiting to be collected and they were. I had the FULL BREAKFAST, 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, mushrooms, beans, tomato and a buttered bread roll, All very eatable and tasted good, really good. Price on BREXIT DAY, £3.40. Price for on any other day, £3.40. At least 10 staff, working like trojans, all busy and professional. I will be back ! Good honest British food, no kebabs but you can get a panini. Go for it."

Needed somewhere near the A1 to grab luck on our way north and found this on TripAdvisor with a good review and we weren't disappointed! Great selection and very reasonably priced.

The sandwich fillings are delicious and the daily specials are fabulous. The restaurant is very clean with top-quality food. The staff is polite and helpful. Great prices for great quality.

I love Paxtons, the portions are quite large, im able to order a sandwich for lunch and save half for dinner at night. I love the plain beef, the chicken tikka, and the tuna, but I've never tried one I didnt like. Wish they would open more locations.

I travel frequently throughout the northeast for work and often visit cafes and sandwich shops. I rarely write reviews, but I must say, this place was outstanding. The staff was friendly and the food was incredible. I would rate the food at this place higher than most restaurants I have dined at. View menu

Brilliant find just off the A1. Very friendly team and a great range of choices of sandwiches and paninis! I have not had a chilli con carne panini before, how did I not have this in my life. Plenty of veggie choices too! Good value. Definitely worth the literally 2 min drive from the a1! Glad we found it!

So pleased we found this takeaway place so close to the A1. Same exit as the services, but don’t bother with them unless you need a toilet stop. The food here is infinitely better and no where near as expensive. Good range of food on the menu, good customer service a tasty cake selection only downside is that it shuts at 2pm during the week

I can't find any flaws with this restaurant. The food is fantastic, with plenty of options and reasonable prices. I particularly enjoy the chili baked potatoes here. Despite being a small sandwich shop, they offer a wide variety of choices, all made fresh and served quickly. The fact that it's always busy with customers is a good sign. I highly recommend it for a satisfying breakfast or lunch. View menu

My last review I gave 2 stars for a couple of bland tasteless sandwiches but mostly because they always get the order wrong, I decided to give this place one more try, I just received my order, guess what? Wrong again! Just when I thought it couldn't go wrong, I ordered a simple cheese and onion panini with a portion of CHEESY chips, and I received cheese onion panini with just a few chips in the box (no cheese?? Crikey, not sure what to think anymore? IM DONE ordering from here. Its sh**e

Last time I ordered here I swore I would never order again but I'm a sucker for keep trying it with the hope that they get it right just once! I'm vegetarian so the menu is small for me, I usually go for the Quorn burger with no Mayo (don't like) and pay the extra 50p for the cheese. Out of half a dozen orders, I've paid extra for the cheese, and it hasn't been put on, (every time)!!!! So, it is a very over cooked Quorn burger in bread (like eating cardboard) and the odd time they have drown it with MAYO even though I ask for no mayo

"Started off really well and went over to the counter and ordered a crepe with banana and Nutella and specifically stated no strawberries I also asked for a San Pelegríno still water as this was on the menu also. I was the first person to order and the last to eat in the end. I got brought my water over which was a cheaper brand water that I just paid £2 for what would I have liked to have seen ? We’ll when I asked for san pelligrino still water to be told that they don’t have that in. Finally my crepe comes and I take a bite and realise that it’s got strawberries in all the way through which I’m allergic too. One of my family members takes it back and says that I asked for banana not strawberry there’s a reason why I can’t eat it and didn’t want it on my crepe. Then 5 minutes later another crepe comes out that was my bitten crepe that someone had opened up and picked the strawberries out and put banana in. Disgusting absolutely … not sure if this was a mistake or just being stingy either way it’s not on. It then again gets returned because there is no way I am eating that and it gets explained once again there is a reason I can’t eat strawberries to which then one of the owners comes over to serve the correct crepe and apologise . I really hope a lesson was learnt today because cross contamination is not a joke. Please be careful when eating there. I didn’t get offered a refund but then again they were willing to serve me a bitten crepe again so it didn’t surprise me that much."
