"When we finally reached the front of the line to order, a new staff member took over without checking if we had finished and rushed to total up our order. It took multiple attempts to get our order right as she seemed impatient. We also overheard staff gossiping about other members in front of waiting customers. After sitting down, we witnessed a mix-up with our table that was publicly addressed by a waitress, making us feel uncomfortable. The food arrived, but it was only average at best. The paninis lacked flavor, and the scones were dry with cheap-tasting jam and hard cream. The drinks were also served boiling hot. Additionally, we observed a worker in the kitchen not following proper hygiene practices, which was concerning. Overall, our experience at this cafe was uncomfortable and awkward, with the staff in need of training in customer service. We won't be returning."

Good coffee and service was quick. Did get quite busy but there's extra seating outside and upstairs.

Very good food and the staff are very friendly and helpful sometimes the upstairs can be a bit cold so try and find a table downstairs.

A lovely historic building with lots of seating for the cafe. We were there on a busy day and were told of the wait. Our coffee was good and our food was served within the time stated. Great value.

Absolutely disgusted!!! Breakfast was awful. Cheap of cheap ingredients used including sauces. Served us blue mouldy toast. When this was pointed out we were offered a drink on the house!!!!!! Stay clear if the breads mouldy what else is used past sell by

We met our friends Sue and Steve in Chesterfield and after a wander around decided to have a light lunch. We went to Peacocks but downstairs was full so we went upstairs which was very quiet. Pat and Steve had bacon and cream cheese bagels, Sue had beans on toast, I had a scone and we all had tea. Very nice, well priced food and drink and very relaxing.

I stopped by for a currant scone and a mocha at this cafe, which I haven't visited in quite some time. The establishment is consistently clean, well-organized, and has a warm atmosphere. My only complaint is that there was a bit too much chocolate in my mocha for my taste. Nevertheless, I still rank this cafe among my top two favorites in Chesterfield. (Photo attached)

I have visited Peacocks for many years recently call for coffee most days but found members of staff very abrupt and rude They frequently seem to be unhappy and not friendly at all The younger girls seem nicer but some staff constantly rolling eyes and commenting on their colleagues Not professional and need training in Customer service We customers are not an inconvenience we pay your wages

Been visiting Peacock over the years but not been for a few weeks now. Think staff need to take stock and avoid complacency. Coffee was very weak and poor in taste. Bacon sandwich,,, as with another recent review the bacon was marginal in quantity and quality. Pleasant staff and fabulous setting but need to improve, if I have the same experience next time I will not be back !! plenty of other options in our lovely town of Chesterfield......

"A Culinary Journey to Greece: Odyssey Restaurant I recently had the pleasure of dining at Odyssey Restaurant not just once, but twice, and both experiences left me positively enchanted. From the scrumptious food to the warm and attentive staff, this Greek gem managed to transport me to the charming tavernas of Greece with its delightful atmosphere. Let's start with the true star of the show: the food. Odyssey Restaurant takes great pride in their culinary creations, and rightfully so. Every dish I ordered surpassed my expectations and left my taste buds dancing with joy. The flavors were authentic, the ingredients fresh, and the presentation impeccable. Whether it was the tender and juicy souvlaki or the mouthwatering moussaka, each bite was a mesmerizing journey through the rich and diverse Greek cuisine. What sets Odyssey apart from other establishments is their friendly and helpful staff. From the moment you step foot inside, you are greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. The servers take the time to guide you through the menu, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring that your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. Their passion for Greek cuisine is evident in their enthusiasm when describing the dishes, making you feel like you're sharing a meal with longtime friends. Last but certainly not least, let's talk about the atmosphere. Odyssey Restaurant encapsulates the essence of a Greek taverna, transporting you to the sun-soaked shores of Greece. The décor is tastefully done, with rustic touches and vibrant blue and white accents that instantly evoke feelings of wanderlust. The soft music playing in the background adds a touch of authenticity, completing the immersive experience. In conclusion, my visits to Odyssey Restaurant were nothing short of delightful. The sumptuous food, friendly staff, excellent drinks, and enchanting atmosphere all combine to create an unforgettable dining experience."
