It's always a treat to have lunch at Peggotty's I love the prawn jackets and my husband has TWO bacon sarnies. We often travel form Maidstone JUST to go to Peggotty's

this tee room was found randomly on a branch. I gave it five stars because it is very clean, the staff was friendly and the eating was excellent, at a moderate price. I would go through tenterton anytime.

Visited for afternoon tea. Very warm welcome. The afternoon tea was lovely. Good choice of sandwich and cake and scone. Sandwiches were very tasty and freshly made. The scones were served warm with lots of cream and jam and the tea was finished off with homemade cake. Could not fault the afternoon tea or the lovely lady who looked after us. Treat yourself. We were so happy we booked this lovely tea shoppe for our afternoon tea. We were welcomed on arrival and shown to our table in a beautiful garden, with plenty of shady areas if you wish. The staff were friendly and efficient and brought us some lovely sandwiches and delicious scones and cake. With the lovely weather it was perfect and will definitely return.

Looked like a lovely little tea room so thought why not, let’s pop in. Lovely ambience about the place and grabbed a window seat. Wife had the leek potato soup with a delicious cheese scone. I went for the Peggoties Cream Tea, Scone, jam and cream were sublime. The actual leaf tea was fabulous. Took the coffee Walnut cake home for supper. Not the cheapest tea room but you get what you pay for and the quality was superb. Very friendly staff. Overall a lovely experience.

I visited Peggotty’s Tea Shoppe with friends after a recommendation from someone living locally. We had the Tenterden Special Afternoon Tea which was £17pp and included a sandwich, a fruit or plain homemade scone, served with homemade jam and clotted cream, a slice of cake and a pot of loose leaf tea or a cup of filter coffee. The tea room is quaint and very small in size so booking is definitely required. We arrived 10 minutes early for our table and did not receive the warmest of welcome, so I would say don’t turn up any earlier than your booked time as there is no space to sit and wait for your table.
