This wasn’t the fault of the service staff. They were great. Our waitress told us she had to go ask if we could take the leftovers; this was clearly a poor decision made higher up. So remember only to order as much as you can eat while sitting there. Because the rest of that amazing food will be thrown away a complete waste and so unfortunate. Particularly after it had been made to order and paid for."

Picture offers a 6 course tasting menu for £45, which compares very favourably to its a la carte menu. The food was excellent with all courses memorable. One of our party was a chef and she was impressed. Wonderful evening wonderful food.

The sushi at this restaurant is excellent – you can really taste that it is fresh and made to order. While the restaurant was busy and there was a slight delay in the food arriving, the friendly Italian and Spanish staff kept us entertained during the wait. The dessert was amazing and they even allow dogs on the premises.

Picture Marylebone is a real find. I would give it 6 stars for value. Very refined food, very rich and filling, though smaller plates. The mushroom and slow cooked egg 'tart ' was exceptional and absolutely a Michelin star dish. The tasting menu is such good value. Especially at lunch. Great, friendly service too. Highly recommended.

Go for the set menu which is extremely good value, but don't be frightened of going a la carte. Excellent modern British food in an airy setting close to Marylebone High Street, so you can do you book, cheese and meat shopping before of after lunch. An extraordinary good Portuguese Pinot on the wine list and a number of wines by the glass and the 500ml carafe. GM Tom is as always very welcoming.
