"Pieminister pies are the best pies in the world no dispute! I'm totally addicted to their Thai chicken pie and I'm rather partial to their millionaires shortbread as well. I don't care that the two together will set me back about six quid. They are totally worth it! The pies are crammed with huge chunks of succulent chicken and are really moist, without too much pastry. Utterly delicious! I've been calling into their flagship shop on Stokes Croft pretty regularly since moving to Bristol about five years ago. In that time I have watched Pieminister grow into what the owners had always wanted it to be a franchise chain. It's now possible to buy Pieminister pies at various outlets across the country, and at quite a few festivals as well. They made their millionth handmade pie a couple of years ago, and have had to relocate production to larger premises as they outgrew the baking space at Stokes Croft soon afterward. (This is now used to incubate new businesses). Pieminister are pretty faultless. They possess a great ethos, make mouth watering food, which they present and package beautifully and they keep it all pretty ethical too. Using sustainable packaging and wooden disposable cutlery with take out orders, their carbon footprint is kept to a minimum."

Foos is good, service very quick and overall it's cheap. It can be busy so it's better to have a plan B in mind when going there with friends

Food was scrumptiously good!! I ordered the mothership (mash, minty mushy peas, and gravy on top of the pie) fungi chicken pie (chicken, portobello and chestnut mushrooms)

Nice pie restaurant on the high street but impossible to park. We had the mushroom vegetarian pie with cheesy mash and the Indian flavor vegetarian pie, the haloomi chips and finish with sticky toffee pudding. All the dishes were good but could have done with a little more pronounced flavors. Good portions and good service too. The desert though was amazing!

I bought one of the steak pies from my local supermarket and was very much looking forward to it, at I think about £6 I was expecting something special, the pastry and crusty top was delicious and there was plenty of flavour and filling, the disappointment was that most of the meat was pretty tough, these pies were a first for me but I've had more tender meat in pies that were half the price.

Ambiance when enter establishment is full of RnB music lifting turns. Very Pub like. Covid sanitation when you enter so lots of Pies. PiePies with your basic ingredients such as free range chicken or Turkey with different adds depending on pie you order. Just a pie with gravy is $6 or you can order their selection of pies with two sides, beans, mashed peas, green peas or mash which is mashed potatoes between 9.5-0-11.00 quid. Wait staff is very attentive and kind. They were always checking on us and if we liked food or needed to order something else. Price is good for food and spirits. Bravo!

I grabbed a small table on a Sat afternoon although you have to order at the counter. I got the seaonal Brazilian, which is free range chicken and chorizo and vegetables. I hate food that over salted and I was assured it wasn 't. Chorizo can boost salt a few notches, but this was tasty and well balanced. I got the red cabbage slaw to make this meaty pie a bit healthier. The pies come with a small jug or boozy gravy which takes a few bites to get used to. The help yourself water jugs lean more towards a canteen style attitude, but the gastropub decor is a bit more classy with its dark colours. 7UKP is not cheap, but this is homemade with quality ingredients. This was my first visit and I 'll...

I remember when Pieminister came on the scene several years ago, with their uniquely ethical approach to the food industry. I remember feeling proud to be from Bristol listening to people talking about the excellent pies and mash they were getting. Then the summer months rolled in and with the ensuing wave of festivals Pieminister was there to represent. These memories go some way to illustrate what kind of place Pieminister is, its ethos and what it stands for. In many ways they have encapsulated (within delicious and home cooked pastry) what Bristol is about: a city that also feels like the countryside, a fresh and organic place with no artificial touches. Pieminister pride themselves on k...

I 'm more than a little embarrassed to admit this, but today was my first ever visit to Pie Minister in Stokes Croft. I know, I know! I have eaten Pie Minister pies before: in St Nics market and other restaurants in Bristol. But today was the first time I 've been in their amazing restaurant and I loved it! Live and eat pie is written all over this place, and it 's not just a brilliant play on words/lyrics, but it looks bloomin ' awesome! I 'm a sucker for great typography and they use it really well inside and outside. The interior has lots of explodes brick work with black/grey decor, neons signs and lots of really nice touches. It 's definitely one of the most casual but stylish restauran...

This was nothing like I was expecting it would be... and I don't mean that positively. Online it comes off as such a fun place, but what we walked into was a pretty rundown restaurant (and they'd only been open for a few months at that point) with dirty tables and floors, and servers who clearly didn't want to be working. They were nice enough, but they spent most of their time standing outside smoking. They have LOADS of clearly labeled vegan options, which is always appreciated. I got the Mothership: This Isn't A Chicken Bacon Pie with leeks and white wine, minty mushy peas, crispy onions, gravy, and mash. It was edible; just soooooooo much less flavorful than it should have been and could...
