The food and service at this restaurant were exceptional! This was our second visit, and it certainly lived up to our expectations. What a delightful experience! Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5.

Delicious food, but I found the table setup a bit too close one to another. Not sure how a person that is not slim will feel comfortable in that setup. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £100+

The food was rather bland, portion sizes were small, and overall it was underwhelming. The flavors were not very pronounced, and while it was acceptable, it certainly didn’t justify the steep prices. The dessert was delightful, though. Additionally, one of our guests got stuck in the restroom, and the staff didn’t seem very apologetic or offer any compensation, like a drink. On a positive note, the staff were friendly, and the food presentation was attractive. As for vegetarian options, there was only one choice for each course, and they were decent but lacked excitement in terms of flavor. Overall, the dining experience was just okay.

I had a rather odd experience at this restaurant. It was nearly empty when we arrived. We opted for the five-course tasting menu paired with a wine flight. While the wines were decent, they fell short of great and the descriptions provided didn’t quite match what we tasted. The food was adequate, but it didn't measure up, especially considering the plethora of excellent dining options available in Bristol. The bream tartare starter was enjoyable, but the vegetarian main course—though it sounded appealing—was utterly bland, even though I’m not a vegetarian. I was pretty full with five courses and chateaubriand. Everything was very delicious, the appetizer was a fusion of Thai cuisine, the main course was typical but perfectly seasoned with salt, and the dessert, the apple soufflé, was amazing. There were times when the other customers were so noisy that it was hard to hear their conversations, but I think that's what makes this restaurant so homey. It is better to make a reservation. Visited here in Sept 23 for an executive dinner that we were hosting for various senior business leaders. We booked out the whole venue, which was the perfect size and atmosphere for the intimate and exclusive feel that we wanted, plus a convenient location. The TV that shows into the kitchen was fascinating, and the record player was put to use towards the end of the evening! Caroline from the venue helped us organise the event in advance and was great to deal with. We were fortunate with the weather so were able to enjoy a welcome drinks reception out the front of the venue, and have the door open all evening to let the balmy night in.
