"We decided to get a few days away. Overall we had a great stay. Our room (Crawford) based in the cottage. Lovely room with flowers growing in the window boxes. The room itself has limited space to hang your clothes, also has limited surface space. The bathroom is huge and has everything you need. The room was serviced every day, although It could do with a more substantial clean (dust in places and found things that had been left by previous guests) We booked an evening meal on the first night it was awesome, one of the best meals we've had in a while. The staff we fabulous that night. Breakfast was also great and we can't complain about the food. Over our 3 night stay the service at breakfast time varied and the lack of options some mornings on continental breakfast was a little disappointing. Overall Bell The Dragon Churt is a lovely place and has the potential to be awesome. We shall return."

"we celebrated a birthday party for about 25 people. the personal was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. they have designed a special cake for birthday. the food was delicious and we had a good dance later to finish a wonderful evening. I would recommend this place quickly to a friend for groups and parties."

"A great find, the starters of squid and the charcoal cooked prawns was only a small indicator for the amazing stake sharing platter to follow. We always enjoy our steak rare and it was the perfect way for these lovely steaks. They come with three house sauce's too, and my wife was upset that the peppercorn sauce was as good as hers as she prides herself on having a great recipe for this. We had the Malbec number 20 on the wine menu which went perfect with the steaks too."

"There were two of us for dinner. We ordered a main and a starter as the two mains, and had specified this to the waiter. Then the starter came 10 minutes later by itself. I told the waiter and he went off to check and didn’t come back. I then had to resay it to the waiter who just went silent as they didn’t know what to do. I asked them to take it back and bring it with the main course I ordered as part of the overall meal. The starter was cold when it came with the main; I had expected a new starter would be done given the issue. The bill had then overcharged for an item. I won’t be revisiting this restaurant given the service was very poor from the three different 3 I dealt with"

"I booked on the line, which was simple, but could be easier. Maybe the use of my phone was not a good idea. the day and the time were available. we were met by a beautiful maitre de who sat on a beautiful table. he was polite, friendly and helped to choose our drinks and meals. eating was extraordinary. I had the whispers and the juice was very garlic. delicious. partner had fish and chips. they offered garden beans because he doesn't like muddy heels. we have not been rushing. the restaurant was busy, but it felt not tormented. a beautiful meal in a beautiful environment"

"We ate at Cote on 11th October, 17 of us for a work meal. We had a fantastic experience, we were well looked after from the minute we walked in. Our waiter was attentive throughout. The food came out promptly for all of us, and was fresh/hot and delicious. We ordered a range of mains and puddings, and everything was tasty and enjoyed by all. For a large group I was concerned about the service/quality of food, but everything was perfect and we will absolutely be back. Thank you!"

"No complaints about tasting menu it was good. Matching wines ok, first good, other less so. What I do not want to get to 9 with pre-booked tasting menu, table not ready, dumps up for half an hour near a very loud wedding party, normal menu handed us over when we have already chosen. A drink was offered after 10 minutes, but we didn't want an aperitif somewhere else with friends. No real excuse. It got better when we sit down."

"The food was exquisite and the chef needs to be recognised more in these reviews: she was incredible! However, the service not so. If the delay in serving the food is due to the chef making a culinary masterpiece, we didn't mind. However, when the sauce to my meal was literally dumped down beside my finished food plate without a sincere apology, that's down to the waiting staff. Drink orders were honoured swiftly, but our waitress appeared to be wholeheartedly disinterested in our satisfaction and more interested in just getting the job done (even once rolling her eyes at us as I dared to change my mind within seconds and also abruptly correcting my husbands pronunciation of a dish!! So in total: Incredible food, fabulous selection of food and wine, prices exceptionally reasonable for area (and the exquisite food!! Super atmosphere, service awful"

"This restaurant provided one of the worst dining experiences we have had in years, which is reflected in their low ranking. We ordered 2 pizzas and 2 Prawn Gamberoni dishes for a family of 4 and waited for quite some time. Despite the restaurant being quite empty on a Tuesday evening, with only 4 or 5 tables occupied, the food took a long time to arrive. When it did, one of the prawn dishes was missing, but the kitchen brought out the rice and vegetables meant to go with it. The waitress apologized and promised to bring the missing dish shortly, but she took the rice away to make a fresh portion. However, when the prawns finally arrived 20 minutes later, the vegetables were cold and the meal was ruined. To make matters worse, they served me the same portion of rice, which had turned into a solid lump that I could pick up with my hand. There was no apology or gesture of goodwill from the staff or management throughout the entire ordeal. The restaurant had a dated menu, lacked atmosphere, and we will definitely not be returning."

"Fantastic little restaurant, beautiful and very classy both inside and outside. I visited for my birthday this week and am very glad I did. Very polite, friendly and professional waiting staff who make you feel like a special guest and very welcome. Food was incredible, I felt like I was dining at a very fancy restaurant, I ordered the Gin cured Salmon, (I did not upload a picture as it looked so delicious I started digging in immediately) Fillet of Sea Bass with Mashed Potato and Vegetables, Chocolate Fondant with Vanilla Ice Cream and a glass of beautiful Pinot Grigio White Wine. Everything was plated beautifully, cooked perfectly and also seasoned perfectly, I did not wish to add any additional salt or pepper which was provided. The dishes all complemented each other well and went very well with the wine. Tipping is optional although I felt inclined due to the quality of the food and service I was provided. Big compliments to the waiting staff and chef. I will definitely visit here again soon, pleased to have such a high quality and local place with very fair prices, 10/10. "This is a really lovely pub with two terraces and a large garden space. We were recommended to visit and we're really glad we did as the food was delicious and the service was lovely and friendly. While menu options aren't necessarily the broadest, there's still lots to choose from and we enjoyed the salt and pepper squid (shared) and a burger and a steak. All very tasty! It's a popular spot for walkers in the day with the proximity to Devil's Dyke but also popular all-around so it's worth pre-booking at the weekend, especially if you'd like an outside table on the terrace. It's super easy to book on their website though. Enjoy!"

"Hi jacked when paying my bill at the bar with a 20 service charge . Why is this not mentioned anywhere on the menu or in the pub ? . I always leave a tip of 10 . This 20 is the cost of another meal !! If you’re not making enough on your product please put the cost up ! If you’re not paying your staff enough please put their hourly rate up !! Please do not stealth tax your customers. The meals the four of us had were excellent and my pie was the best I’ve ever eaten but I will not be eating here again unless this issue is addressed. Thank you for your response to my issue .But you havent addressed the automatic adding of the charge to the bill . If we were a party of 10 then i could understand a charge and if you stated somewhere before we ordered that a 12 charge was to be added I wouldn`t have assumed with my math that it was 20 .So please see my point about the charge being a stealh tax on your food Parking: Plenty of space"

"When we're seated, we were asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. I asked for still (wanting tap water) and a bottle arrived. This costs £4.95, but as 12.5% service charge is added £5.57 just for water. Starters were OK, but cheap tomatoes rather than widely available vine tomatoes came with the burrata. I'd had my starter before all the drinks we ordered on arrival had arrived. The battered mackerel was excellent, I am surprised that more restaurants don't serve this. Service was variable, but one young waitress went out of her way to be helpful."

"Visited here over the weekend. Diabolical service.. managers didnt know the head to their foot never mind how to serve a table.. 3 things we tried to order after waiting for 15 minutes that wasnt on the menu.. we complained after being there for 55 minutes and only receiving our starters to hear the managers stood slandering us.. and creamy mushrooms? Ive had more cream in a bourbon biscuit.. Didnt even get to try the main as we cancelled them.. 4 tables in the whole building and saying its busy! Ridiculous766 excellent reviews?? Them 766 are obviously not mentally there or used to a mcdonalds... i mean fast food takeouts have more manners than this place. If i had the option i would give a minus rating.. not even worth a 1!. Try some team training meetings on customer service and how to speak to people."

"A party of nine family and friends visited for my wife's birthday and it was a great night. The food chosen was a mixture from the menu and all of us said it was cooked as requested, well presented and tasted great. From the start the staff went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one for my wife. We had originally booked for 12, two tables of six, but when we told the staff member who greeted us we were now only nine she immediately set about changing the table layout to one that seated our party, which meant we were all together. A nice thoughtful gesture. We had bought a birthday cake with us and it a lovely surprise for my wife when the staff bought it to the table and sang Happy Birthday to her. A special mention must be made of the young lady who looked after us throughout our three hour stay, she was brilliant throughout, so Paris please take a bow, you deserve it for looking after us so well, thank you. Our visit could not have been better so a big thank you to all at Miller and Carter, Hagley Road and look forward to seeing you again in the near future."
