"Never before have we enjoyed a Sunday Lunch quite like this. For starters, the smoked salmon melted in my mouth. My partner’s beetroot salad was delicious and the father’s prawn cocktail was “scrumptious” in his words. The main courses were generous, quick and beautifully presented. The pork belly was really good (not too fatty) with a generous portion of crackling. The chicken breast was very nice and the steaks were cooked to perfection. A special mention to the chips which were crisp and one suggested piece of advice is to crisp up the Yorkshire Puddings. The Virgin Mary’s were nice and spicy. As a veteran of the drink I can say it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Overall we would recommend this for a lovely Sunday lunch in Sedgefield."

"I decided to have the set 3 course menu. Starter.. Very nice, Main.. the burger was meaty but very dry, I was not asked how I woukd like it cooked. It came in a bun with a stick to keep it together. I took the stick our but unknown to me the stick broke in the burger unseen, that small piece of stick then got stuck in between my back teeth and pierced my gum made it bleed. I reported this to the staff, we were given 2 puddings at no cost as a goodwill apology. Just beware if you order the burger. Otherwise all good the cocktails were very nice."

"I have gone to the Garibaldi many times especially under the previous owners who always provided a warm welcome and delicious food 7 days a week. Unfortunately under the new management I have to write a very poor review of a so called Sunday roast and very poor service too. A bit like Fawlty Towers that was filmed around the corner in Bourne End. When I first arrived it took ages for someone to come and ask what we wanted to drink and we were then left for 15 minutes before I had to ask if someone would take my food order. We both went for the large roasts turkey and beef with side vegetables. A couple of locals walk in get drinks and service snd their roasts before us, when our vegetables and roasts arrived they were cold and the meat rare. We had to ask for the meat to be reheated. When I was asked if I wanted another drink they did not have any more Merlot. When our food did come back it was just about edible. We were left for ages after we had finished our mains and had to ask for pudding. The apple pie was reasonable but we had to take our empty pudding plates to the bar as we wanted an Irish coffee and after waiting and no one collecting our empty plates we were then told their coffee machine was not working. Please bear in mind this pub only offers home cooked roasts on a Sunday and the rest of the week they get in out sourced caterers. The so-called land lady did not come around to ask if the food was OK or to welcome new clientele and the pub dog is allowed to roam around and sniff your food. Needless to say we will not be returning but we recommend the Cricketers at Littlewick Green for great service and a fabulous Sunday roast."

"I recently tried the banana blossom fish and chips, vegan kofte mixed salad, mushroom kiev, and dauphinoise potatoes at this restaurant. Everything was delicious and the service was polite and friendly. It's the first place near Billingshurst that I've found with vegan options on their menu."

"We went to Cote Esher with friends for sunday lunch. We chose from the festive menu. The food was passable but nothing that would entice us to come back. The service from start to finish was atrocious or maybe i should say non existant. It didn't suprise me that they had already included service in the bill when it arrived, because they wouldn't have got a penny if it was optional . Most suprising was that when we paid after a very long wait, I informed the server that the service was atrocious, she basically wasnt interested and offered no apology. Cote may make a lot of money during the festive period but based on their food and service they will struggle badly next year. This is one chain that will be avoided by our grpoup of five in the future."

"Have visited this place several times now and I know it can get rather busy hence the lack of availability when trying to book , a little disappointed this time , never really noticed until tonight with the heavy rain how dark the car park is! Lack of lighting! Was shown to our table across what can only be described as an ice rink , you should really display signs to let people know the floor is slippery. The drinks order was taken and then after several minutes was asked if we were ready to order food, the starter arrived before the drinks! We ordered very similar mains but were presented with wrongly cooked steaks, despite specifying, and incorrect sauce , the onion loaf which is normally cooked correctly was nothing more than a soggy lump of onion cold in the middle. I must say the waitress took all of our comments on board with professionalism and courtesy. Sorry to have a moan but merely disappointed when this type of venue isn't the cheapest but historically it has been worth the premium."

"Fine dining at its best. Went for lunch with friends. 10 intricate and well thought out courses and 3.5 hours of great conversation. The food is exquisite. I understand that the menu changes daily along with their wine recommendations per course. The food is locally sourced with the vegetables coming fresh from nearby Netherby Hall walled garden. They have their own Sommelier to to talk you through the wine choices. We took our time and drinks were flowing. The bill was approx £140 per head, which sounds a lot but when you break it all down was good value for money. Service was excellent and attentive. The building it self is a modern take on a classic gastro pub. Beautifully decorated with high end finishing. Ample parking, beer garden and free WiFi for all guests (which you’ll need). The views from the conservatory are lovely looking out over the Cumbrian countryside. We didn’t stay the night but did manage a sneaky peak at the accommodation. All high end modern furnishing and fittings and the beds looked very inviting after the 10 course lunch!! Would highly recommend."

"nice eating, especially our main courses! our server was very helpful and attentive also very friendly! do you think her name was lily? massive credit to her team! only what we both had a comment was the dress code, all around us are all very nice outfits wearing, but then a table came in our opposite in training pants and training suits. we had many texts that explain how we are not allowed in this dress clothes, has that changed? was very remarkable. I couldn't blame anything else!"

"This charming pub in Cragg Vale offers a great selection of food options. I ordered the steak and ale pie, which was flavorful but a bit heavy on the ale, overpowering the dish. It was served with chips and mushy peas, with the chips being bland. The pie was more of a pot pie, served in a dish with a pasty lid. Despite this, I would not let one visit deter me from returning. The service was excellent, with friendly and prompt service. I would happily return to try other dishes on the menu."

"Exceptional food and service. Everything from the appetisers, the mains and the dessert was truly outstanding. Even if you aren't hungry, just pop in and try their cheesecake. It's flavour, texture and presentation was on exquisite. They made our night by bringing out a dessert that said Happy 8th anniversary. Management Staff are super friendly and attentive. The best restaurant we have been to in Bath. Rooms: 5"

"Steak night for 2 with a bottle of wine for £45…WOW!!! The food was absolutely amazing, the steak melted in your mouth and the chips were crispy and delicious, really tasty dressing on the salad too! My husband normally refuses to eat steak when we’re out as he is really fussy with it, but he devoured this huge steak with a smile on his face! The atmosphere was really cosy and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and professional. We can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend"

"We visited here on Saturday afternoon. On arrival we were escorted to our table near the door, so requested another table away from the door. We were seated further away near a radiator and the window. We ordered drinks and food . The starter arrived and to be honest was very tasty . The problem we had was the restaurant was freezing . We had spoken to the waitress about the room temperature and she said the heating was turned off , but would turn it on . This would have taken time to warm the restaurant . She also said they had some heaters but did not know where they were . We decided to cancel the main course and leave, of course we paid for what we had eaten and drank. She offered to sit us somewhere else , but we was both cold . I did notice other guest wearing coats. Given the status and the pricing of this restaurant you would expect a warm environment. I did send a compliant via their website, but have not received anything back."

"Service: The service was exceptionally slow and poor. The staff seemed almost depressed and were clearly short-staffed. We waited an hour for a Sunday roast and two kids’ meals. Additionally, the drinks we ordered took over 40 minutes to arrive, despite asking several times. This included some water and a much-needed glass of wine. Food: When the food finally arrived, it was average, and not worth the wait. Value: We were overcharged, and while queuing to get our refund, we overheard multiple customers requesting the service charge be removed. When asked how everything was not one person expressed satisfaction. Conclusion: Overall, it was a major letdown. The combination of poor service, long wait times, and overcharging made for a very unpleasant dining experience. I would not recommend it to anyone and hope they address these issues promptly to improve future customer experiences"

"I looked out from the bar and enjoyed a beautiful view of the open road, especially in the sunlight. The outdoor seating arrangement was lovely, allowing customers to order without causing congestion inside or having to navigate with tablets. I placed my order quickly, but it took about five minutes for it to arrive. There were others in line who had ordered before me, so it was a bit surprising. The outdoor area was clean, and the staff frequently came around to tidy up spilled food and empty plastic glasses. They also reminded people not to eat at the tables, which I assume is because they prefer not to have food consumed outside, likely to avoid attracting local wildlife."

"I visited for brunch on Sunday 3rd September with a couple of friends. Their previous experience was good. This was quite the opposite! The attitude of the server was poor but she could have had a bad morning. We sat in the conservatory section and were handed the menus and a drinks order was taken. A few minutes later the server came back to take our food order. I asked for Eggs Benedict and requested that I swap the ham for streaky bacon. The server said she would ask the chef but it would cost more. One of my friends ordered the Salmon Stack and the other Poached Eggs on Sourdough Toast. When the food arrived the problems arose. My friends poached eggs had yolks that were over cooked and the whites looked as though they had been whisked and as a result held a lot of water. She sent that back. A second attempt by your chef I use that term loosely didn’t fare any better. The yolks may not have been over cooked but you could wring the water out of the toast. It was a soggy mess and inedible. This was subsequently returned. My other friends Salmon Stack seemed to be devoid of the key item Salmon! It was literally a potato cake. My eggs Benedict were terrible. Again the eggs were over cooked and had been placed on lettuce on top of the muffin. As a result of having hot eggs placed on the lettuce it became limp and slimy. Around the dish the Chef had added a balsamic reduction swirl which did nothing to enhance the food, or the presentation. Again the eggs hadn’t been drained properly and this destroyed the muffin which was, like my friends toast , a soggy mess. The streaky bacon that I paid an additional £2 for was undercooked and inedible. The member of staff who cleared the table never checked back to see if everything was okay or asked about the food I left. This was probably the worst brunch I have ever had. Your Chef ? needs some serious training in cookery basics."

"Business trip, there’s not much in this area of Norwich east anglia so it’s slim pickings when it comes to accommodation. Most places are full of workers on various construction projects. The rooms were clean and basic, everything you’d need really. Breakfast was fine, we didn’t eat in the evening but the place was cold and could do with the fire on or some heating. Food stops 8:45 and the whole place doesn’t open to 4pm which is quite strange. Would probably stay again as nothing else around and it does the job. Rooms: 3 Service: 4 Location: 3 Hotel highlights: Great value"

"We were delighted to have access to the private dining area, which comfortably accommodated our group, and the lovely entrance hall made for a fantastic photo backdrop with the mom-to-be. Although the weather didn’t cooperate, preventing us from using the herb garden, we appreciated that it was available if we had chosen to enjoy it. A big thank you to all the staff for taking such great care of us and for making this baby shower so memorable. I highly recommend Dill Bay for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a meal out. They catered to our diverse dietary restrictions as well—our group included vegans, vegetarians, and someone with an egg allergy, and everyone was well taken care of."
