"Have visited this place several times now and I know it can get rather busy hence the lack of availability when trying to book , a little disappointed this time , never really noticed until tonight with the heavy rain how dark the car park is! Lack of lighting! Was shown to our table across what can only be described as an ice rink , you should really display signs to let people know the floor is slippery. The drinks order was taken and then after several minutes was asked if we were ready to order food,the starter arrived before the drinks! We ordered very similar mains but were presented with wrongly cooked steaks, despite specifying, and incorrect sauce , the onion loaf which is normally cooked correctly was nothing more than a soggy lump of onion cold in the middle. I must say the waitress took all of our comments on board with professionalism and courtesy. Sorry to have a moan but merely disappointed when this type of venue isn't the cheapest but historically it has been worth the premium."

Came here for a meal with my partner after a shopping trip in Southampton. Food and service was great, we had the new pork doughnut, which was very tasty. Mains had two fillet steals, absolutely top quality melt in your mouth. And then finally a desert cocktail which was the icing on the cake. Overall a fabulous meal.

This establishment had 2 menus to choose from, either Lunch set Price (2 or 3 courses or individual price menu. Our party of 4 had 3 courses with wine/beer. The Staff on arrival were welcoming and friendly throughout our visit (Dan was our server . Dan was attentive and helpful but not intrusive. My Garlic allergy was dealt with professionally with Dan checking on my requests with the Chef. Our first visit and had high expectations given the reviews and the price. Firstly our waitress was excellent. We both ordered the prawn and Avocado starter. Mine was fairly bland and lacking any hint of a **** Mary and given my avacardo was too hard to eat without changing my dentures I was a little disappointed. After that the T bone arrived which was well cooked to our liking but Nora said hers had a bit too much gristle so I can 't recommend that either but the scallops and sides were excellent hence the good rating as opposed to average. Should of stuck to plan A and ordered the fillet mignon

Went on Saturday to Miller Carter in Bursledon with a pre booked party of 8 which had two children. Initially crammed on a table not giving elbow room so asked our waiter Jake to be moved and he pulled out all the stops to ensure we had sufficient seating arrangement. Overall, the steaks were cooked to our satisfaction. Only real complaint is lack of veg on plate with one sixth of a tomato and small amount of peppercorn in pot. The service was otherwise impeccable, Jake couldn't do enough, was very polite and attentive. A credit to Miller Carter. Only bad note some of the furniture appeared rather tired .
