"I ate at Bariloche with my family on a Friday night. What ruined the experience off the bat was the live music performer while the performance itself was fine, the music itself was so loud that the waiter could barely hear our order! We didn't order starters and the food took forever to arrive almost 30 minutes give or take. Shame because the meat dishes were actually very good, particularly the limo de bife. I'm afraid we shan't be returning, their offer of an after dinner drink on the house notwithstanding."

"A great find, the starters of squid and the charcoal cooked prawns was only a small indicator for the amazing stake sharing platter to follow. We always enjoy our steak rare and it was the perfect way for these lovely steaks. They come with three house sauce's too, and my wife was upset that the peppercorn sauce was as good as hers as she prides herself on having a great recipe for this. We had the Malbec number 20 on the wine menu which went perfect with the steaks too."

"a few years ago, it was good. this time it was horrific. wives ' starter and main course were shocking. when both meals were replaced without cake, they were just as bad. no comments from the personal. only replaced. admittedly they took off the cost of both courses, but not a SINGEL word of apologoy. I went to the toilet and came back to see the changed bill that was just left on the table. I've taken it, and the guy just said I'm sorry. unfortunately I can't recommend it at all."

"We ended our intimate wedding celebration with a meal at Jacques. It was our first time there, but it certainly won't be our last. The food was delicious and the ambiance, decor, and service were all top-notch. A pleasant surprise was the live music on Wednesday nights by the Emma Skip duo, who added to the already perfect evening. We absolutely loved it. Meal Type: Dinner."

"Vote did not have my booking as I had booked it on open table. I had to show them my confirmation on my phone before I was seated. My beef bougingon was dry and not cooked in a sauce, just a slab of beef with onions and mushrooms on the side. It was very salty. Sauce was very nice. Our table was next to the bar and close to the kitchen and was very noisy with bangs and crashes which went on during the meal The staff were very attentive, polite and efficient. I have been to cote before and will go again , but was disappointed with my meal and the noise of where I was placed."

"The food was exquisite and the chef needs to be recognised more in these reviews: she was incredible! However, the service not so. If the delay in serving the food is due to the chef making a culinary masterpiece, we didn't mind. However, when the sauce to my meal was literally dumped down beside my finished food plate without a sincere apology, that's down to the waiting staff. Drink orders were honoured swiftly, but our waitress appeared to be wholeheartedly disinterested in our satisfaction and more interested in just getting the job done (even once rolling her eyes at us as I dared to change my mind within seconds and also abruptly correcting my husbands pronunciation of a dish!! So in total: Incredible food, fabulous selection of food and wine, prices exceptionally reasonable for area (and the exquisite food!! Super atmosphere, service awful"

"Last time we attended Ora we had a great meal, this time it was poor , my wife had prawns there were 4 prawns at £7.95, wrong. For main I had roast beef, my wife had burger, my beef was chewy, I did state this to the waitress who replied you should have asked how you wanted it rare or medium, in my opinion the waitress should have asked me how I wanted my beef, the vegetables were nice but a very small portion, the potatoes tasted as though they had been reheated , the waitress cleared my wife’s starter before I had finished, my Yorkshire pudding was soggy, Im sorry but did not enjoy my experience this time, my wife thought the burger she had for mains was poor last time my wife had the burger she said it was the best she had had, we were not asked if we wanted any sauces, the owners were good but the waitress seemed inexperienced . Very disappointed."

"The history of this pub is fascinating, riddled with tales of contraband, black market dealings and possible bewitchings. I’m more than slightly spooked to confirm that dirty dealings are alive and well at the Dog and Shepherd to this day. After trying to enjoy an expensive but mostly edible Sunday lunch while my two kids made gravy potions, adjusted the pub decor and eschewed their fish chips in favour of eating old food off the floor, we gave up and rammed the remains into cardboard boxes to eat later and left our table clean for the next group. These guys operate a tight ship on Sundays, woe betide you should you overstay your welcome thankfully we didn’t! That, ladies and gentlemen, was where the post dining entertainment on the terrace began we were told that we’d be charged a hefty fee for extra people who were never even part of the group booking!! An honest mistake, a mixup on comms, easily resolved you say? Not here. Instead, we were treated to the most aggressive, threatening performance by the main guy ‘Steve’ who mentioned calling the police more than once and spun a web of lies so baffling that I think we’re all a little concerned for his health. Honestly the most shocking experience ever! Sending strength to the team who work here.. and pray for Steve! Really though, watch you don’t get stung by incorrect charges on group bookings here by clarifying everything in writing NOT over the phone we lost close to £100 despite spending nearly four times that and we were treated horribly which has left a nasty taste in quite a few mouths. Such a shame!"

"we were thrilled to find a local pub that had several vegan options, not something they come very often. I had the lens and quinoa house cake and my partner had the funburger, but unfortunately we were both disappointed by the lack of aromen and mushy textures. the torte was like a tasteless Chinoa soup, which was covered with maic. really friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere, but would be good to see more vegan options with a little more taste!"

"I had wanted to try out this gastropub for some time and spend a few squid on some top notch food. Well it does not disappoint ! Its clearly popular and busy, the ambiance of the place is very inviting, comfortable and the many staff...very attentive and helpful. We had some calamari and garlic bread to start with and share, the garlic bread was amazing and reminiscent of the garlic butter found in french escargots, rich and delicious. The calamari was served with some lovely tartare sauce and hit the spot. Followed the fish of the day and sea vegetables. Flaky cod cooked to perfection, tons of flavours yet subtle and balanced. The famous fish and chips was beautiful and executed perfectly. Nothing more to add, it did what it said on the tin. Perfect. Now then for the spatchcocked chicken and chips spicy slaw). This was simply the best chicken I ever had said my daughter. Moist and melt in the mouth texture with just the right hint of thyme and lemon and a touch of smoky flavours. It fell off the bone and clearly had a huge amount of attention to details in the execution. Simple food executed as it should. We ran out of steam for dessert and shall be back in the pub section to try some out!. Many thanks to all staff and chefs, this is a must to visit and a box ticked (tickled? ; Until next time."

"The meals were acceptable but nothing extraordinary and definitely not worth the price. This restaurant charges separately for vegetables and doesn't provide extras like bread or items such as olives and balsamic olive oil without an additional cost. We also ordered dessert, all of which were ice creams. After waiting 20 minutes, we decided to cancel the dessert, not wanting to waste any more time. Oddly enough, the desserts then arrived, but the ice cream scoops were melting. To be fair, they did remove the dessert charges from the bill, but this experience has turned us off from this particular Ivy branch. I should mention that the vegetables consisted of untrimmed green beans and lukewarm broccoli. Overall, the entire meal took just under three hours. Despite there being plenty of waiting staff, it seemed like the kitchen struggled with mixing up or delaying orders, even at our table. I was not impressed."

"Despite reduced guest numbers due to Covid we had a very good meal and the staff provided a friendly and efficient service. Cafe Rouge has always had a great menu and we especially enjoyed the mussels and beouf bourginon"
"I’ve been here before and been given the old waffle about them liking tips in cash but now they actually print on the bill “service charge not included. Gratuities cannot be left on credit or debit cards as 100% of tips are shared between staff” I eat out a lot at all types of restaurant I’ve literally never ever had a bill like this with this wording insisting on cash tips Since covid I just don’t carry cash and I would imagine many people do the same All other restaurants I have been to without exception either add a service charge or allow a tip/gratuity to be added to the bill and in both cases the total bill can be paid for by credit or debit card These restaurants all then split the tip/gratuity between the staff by including their share in their wages which then ensures that tax is paid on the tips/gratuity as the law requires so this still ensures that “100% of tips are shared between staff” as the bill wishes The tip/gratuity if paid in cash like at this restaurant still needs to be declared to HMRC and I assume the staff/restaurant do this The advantage of allowing the tip/gratuity to be paid by credit or debit card is that this separate disclosure to HMRC is not required as it is dealt with through the businesses payroll system and tax applied accordingly"

"I think the portions in this restaurant are quite large. The three of us ordered two appetizers and couldn't finish the three main dishes. I ordered grilled eggplant as an appetizer. The eggplant was grilled to a crispy surface, with cheese in the middle, and tomato sauce on the side to balance it out. I also ordered the chicken Caesar salad, which was a huge portion! The chicken alone is very solid and large, and every vegetable leaf is covered with salad dressing. The stewed pork is really tender, with moderate fatness and leanness. It also comes with a little stewed rice. The disadvantage is that it is a bit salty. The seafood stew had a big shrimp and a lot of mussels, but the rice had no flavor and felt a bit bland in the end. I haven't tried the duck meat, but my friend said it was delicious and tender. The overall portions were a bit large, maybe two main dishes would have been enough, but the meals were all delicious and the environment was comfortable."

"I had a disappointing experience at Cote. My mother had just moved to the area today and we were looking for a quick bite to eat, before we started to unpack. Despite the restaurant not being full and having empty tables, the waitress on the door was very rude and immediately told us that they were full. There were a few empty tables which could clearly be seen in the windows. I have been to other Cote chains many times before and have never encountered such behavior. I quickly went online and found that there were indeed tables available, so I made a reservation and returned to the restaurant, hoping to wait at the bar and have some drinks. However, we were not allowed in and were told that our reservation was for 15 minutes later. I went away and, to my surprise, our reservation was canceled even though there were empty tables. I was surprised and frustrated that Cote required reservations. It's not even a high end restaurant, and the prices are reasonable FiveGuys is more expensive and that's a fast food restaurant. If they had simply told us politely that there was a dress code or some other issue, it would have been more acceptable. Unfortunately, they were rude and unaccommodating. As someone who lives in Richmond, I am disappointed that my first experience in Esher was ruined by the poor service at Cote. We ended up going to Coppa Club in Cobham, where we were treated much better. I hope that Cote can improve their service in the future so that other customers do not have the same experience as we did."

"**Dining Experience:** Lunch **Price per Person:** £40-50 **Recommended Dishes:** - 12oz Ribeye Steak - Chunky Chips - Beef Dripping Sauce - Onion Loaf - Lettuce Wedge with Blue Cheese Dressing - Chateaubriand Whether you're looking for a satisfying lunch or a special meal, this restaurant offers a delightful selection. The 12oz ribeye steak is a must-try, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Pair it with chunky chips and the rich beef dripping sauce for a truly indulgent experience. The onion loaf adds a nice touch of flavor and texture, while the lettuce wedge with blue cheese dressing provides a refreshing contrast. For those seeking something even more special, the Chateaubriand is highly recommended. Enjoy your visit!"

"My son and I arrived at the Hagley Road restaurant after booking a table and were promptly turned away due to the fact that my son was wearing track suit bottoms. However, a man wearing blue jeans with very large tears in them was allowed to be served with no questions asked. My son booked the table to celebrate my 72nd birthday, and the whole experience was nothing short of a nightmare!! How on earth can you possibly operate such a totally ridiculous, discriminatory dress code policy beggars belief!! There was no mention of a dress code policy when booking the table. It does appear, however, that it IS your policy to get people to waste their time booking, waste time and petrol travelling, only to be turned away because you don't like what people are wearing!! We were NOT the only people who were turned away that evening for the same reason. So remember the dress code, folks..... buy a pair of jeans, rip big holes in them, and you will be welcomed with open arms. A place to be avoided!!"

"We ordered takeaway, which is usually quite good, but tonight we were disappointed. We ordered a pasta dish that was advertised to have "steak strips," but when it arrived, it contained only about five tiny cubes of steak. To make matters worse, they also forgot one of our portions of chips. Every other experience we've had has been great, but tonight was not acceptable. Service was delivery."
