"Now, Pier 64 describes itself as a Steakhouse, and it certainly does what it says on the tin. Other than the range of steaks, it has only about 4 other options – chicken, fish, lamb or vegetarian. It doesn’t look as if these are going to change regularly, so if you weren’t a big steak fan, you’d soon get a bit bored of the menu I can imagine. What it does have is a nice selection of salads, all of which are available in a starter or main course portion. Despite some other attractive although fairly staple starter options (smoked salmon, ham hock terrine, oysters, king prawns etc. we decided to share a salad of black pudding, pancetta, soft poached egg and sunblush tomatoes. Had a lovely meal at this restuarant with my partner and his sister and it was a lovely setting. The food was good too. It's definately a place to visit if you are in Penarth.

pier 64 is so much more than a simple steakhouse. From the new, state-of-the-art, Stilt-Set building to the fantastic marina views that come summertime, dreams of med will bring. we had a really amazing lunch in pier 64 and there was no steak in itself. View menu

Pier 64 is so much more than a simple steakhouse. From the new, ultra-modern, stilt-set building to the fantastic marina views, that come summertime, will bring dreams of the Med. We had a truly amazing lunch in Pier 64 and there wasn’t a steak in sight.

arriving on pier 64 is a pleasant affair even on a cold and dark Saturday night at 9 o'clock. there are generous parking spaces and the location of the building on stilts in the water is clearly a winner. Without a doubt, it would also be a bit better on a bright and sunny day. a worker rushed forward to open the door that saved us the annoying. by erm, y’know, open a door for us.

I was impressed with the service, food quality, prices, and atmosphere of this restaurant. The manager was friendly and professional, and although some of the new waitstaff were unsure of certain questions, they were very helpful in getting the answers from their team. The food was of high quality and delicious, and the restaurant was tastefully decorated. I will definitely be returning if I am in Cardiff again.

if they are set up as "steakhouse and wine bar", and if their menu is divided into steaks and 'the rest', they must be confident what they offer. especially if their some of their prices in hawksmoor area, by common accord one of the best steak restaurants in the country. (Note: I know what giles coren says about people who order steak in restaurants. I could make it less good. but not much. You could even say you had to be bullish. but if they ran before le gallois, they would probably have the ones that do not support these claims. penarth marina is an excellent place for a balmy evening; each eat tastes better in the view of water eaten. the focus is on...read more
