"We spent £100 per room for our stay at this restaurant. Upon arrival, there was no staff to be found anywhere. We tried calling the number provided, but it was rejected three times. Even after texting, nobody showed up. We left and returned hours later, only to be shown to a very basic room. The bathroom was in poor condition with yellow stains around the taps, plug hole, and shower screen. The pillows were uncomfortable and gave us all headaches in the morning. The hotel was noisy both inside and outside. The food was overpriced, with fish and chips costing £13 and giving me a stomachache due to greasiness. We definitely would not choose to stay here again, even if it were free."

No food in the week and you can’t buy any hot drinks so it’s basically a sports pub for men who like beer.

The restaurant did not take action when drunken young men were causing a disturbance by throwing glass and getting into fights. This lack of intervention left customers feeling fearful.

I made a reservation at this restaurant after seeing the menu on TripAdvisor, but was disappointed to find that the actual menu was much more basic than what was displayed. Despite this, we decided to dine there due to the quiet atmosphere and our hunger. The food was decent, but the male server lacked charisma. View menu

Set on the outskirts of lower penarth this pub has been very quiet each time I've visited although they are trying with daily events such as free pool night and open mic night, staff have been very friendly on each of my visits and although I've not eaten there the food has a very good local name Service: 4 Location: 3 Hotel highlights: Quiet

My partner and I went out for a meal for the first time since before lockdown I can honestly say this was the worst meal we’ve ever had out together! We where seated next to the toilet and door to smoking area so we constantly had wind leaves ad the toilet smells the food was burnt the waitress was hovering after 5 mins to clear the table, when we’d finished mains we went for a cigarette when we got back to order desert someone else was seated in our seats so we went to sit at the bar only to be moved to 2 bar stools in the corner so 2 women could sit there, the head barmaid shortchanged me by £4 on 2 drinks so we left
