"We were looking forward to the musical entertainment, so arrived for dinner a bit early at 7:00pm. There was no visible staff present, so we seated ourselves outdoors. It quickly became apparent that the two wait staff could not handle the nearly full establishment. After ten minutes, I found a few menus and observed the glowingly impatient customers. Our server was actually quite nice, and did the best she could. The meal was just OK. We each ordered a pizza. I order the 007, which had a nice dollop of garlic mayo in the center. The crust could have been baked a bit longer, but my guess is the fellow at the oven was trying to bake as many as possible to keep up with the orders. Canned mushrooms convey the quality of ingredients. The music started late as the band had to run extension chords here and there to power their equipment. If you're looking for a basic meal with live music, and you are in no hurry, this place would probably suit your needs."

Best restaurant in Kastelruth. Super nice terrace, good food and friendly service. The mixed grill was excellent and the pizza's are great. I can definitely recommend this place.

Prezzi contenuti, consigliato. View menu

We found the outdoor area a lovely place to eat, with fantastic views. Although the restaurant was busy, the staff seemed to cope with not too long a wait. The pizzas were excellent and the spare ribs which my husband had one evening excellent.

Although you cannot see it from the street, this place has a very nice outdoor patio. We arrived about 7:30pm, had the pizza, salad and beer, and all were good. Service was pleasant and timely, although the place was full. The German music began about 9 pm and we stayed to listen and have a piece of apple strudel. Beautiful sunset view from our corner table a very pleasant and stress free evening.

Came here for pizza and beer! Perfect either for getting ready to hike the nearby Alpine Meadows or for returning from hiking the nearby Alpine Meadows. This is a little family run joint: if you show up at the right time you might see them eating together and it's really cute! The pizza ingredients aren't exactly what you'd find in America and it's the Italian style super thin crust, but don't let that discourage you! Tasty treats await. View menu

Popped in here late the evening of 9-28-2018 because my wife was hungry. She had the Spaghetti di Pomodoro and Tiramisu while I enjoyed another Forst beer. Her spaghetti was delicious and set the bar on any spaghetti i'll ever enjoy. The Tiramisu was velvety goodness. My beer was great! Service was quick and polite. They understood english very well. Would recommend for a casual and delicious meal. Great for couples and families. They had live music earlier that evening.

This is our second trip to Castelrotto in the last three years but our first dining experience here. From the outside it doesn’t draw you in but once you go down the stairs you find yourself in a fairly dark room with a brick pizza oven. You look to the right and there is a large outdoor patio area that is very inviting. Even views of the Dolomites (crane view isn’t so nice right now . Such a pleasant surprise!! The wait staff (both good looking women were friendly and efficient. My husband had the goulash and dumplings which he said was delicious. I had a pizza that was nothing special but good enough. We also shared a salad. He had apple strudel for dessert that he felt was just average......

Tutti i piatti molto buoni, e servito in dosi abbastanza generose; personale molto presente, attento e gentile. Conto sopra la media."
