two of us ate here an evening meal. it was cheap and delicious. the waiter was helpful and friendly and let us speak after our meal without pressure to leave us. the restaurant has a beautiful traditional feeling and it was clear. also popular with locals.

Es gibt in Passau einige sehr gute italienische Restaurants, aber mit dem Außenbereich direkte auf dem Residenzplatz am alten Brunnen an lauen Sommerabenden ist die Bilancia unangefochten. Im Restaurant selbst ist das Ambiente eher eingestaubt und nicht für einen Rekord anmeldbar.

We cannot confirm the reviews with unfriendly staff controls. We were there with 6 people. We were very friendly. In the dusk candles were placed on the tables and there were free snacks. The food tasted good for everyone and we would sit there again. All in all a very beautiful evening.

the outdoor dining area at the square next to the fountain is beautiful. we ate bruschetta, spaghetti bolognese and pizza mushrooms. each dish was delicious and served cake hot despite the walk from the main restaurant. with beautiful beer and white wine the total bill was very good. the staff was very helpful and spoke English, which really helps when they speak little German. thank you.

I can only highly recommend as a great location (drinking, as well as outdoors, cozy atmosphere, very sympathetic and flashy crew, and delicious food of any kind, for meat lovers as well as for Veggies, from a diverse and varied menu at reasonable prices. By the way: When a member of our travel group collapsed a few weeks ago, we were brought (although we were still closed! from the Golden Scale immediately and unquestioned a bottle of water to help. Very strong. For all these reasons, also in the future always liked!

The restaurant was reopened about 3 weeks before. A young and forward-looking crew gives full throttle. We're randomly in there. And it was an excellent one, we didn't regret it. The map is not huge but with fine presented delicacies. The preparation of the dishes (e.g. a soup with two colors divided exactly in the middle), as well as their taste (the char is still close to me today) were absolutely awesome. Just everything an eyewitness and a poem for the taste buds. The service is very friendly and also accepts amendments. The prices are absolutely OK. Keep going. We'd be happy to come back, we should get back close.

...direkt am Dom liegt sehr exponiert die Goldene Waage. Wir haben Glück gehabt und konnten einen Platz am Brunnen ergattern. Die Tische, Stühle und Deko versprühen mediterranes Ambiente zum Wohlfühlen. Die Karte offeriert italienische Leckereien; Antipasti, Pasta, Pizza, Salate und einige gute Weine. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Meine Spaghetti Gamberi waren ausgezeichnet und der Koch scheint gerne ein paar Garnelen extra aufgelegt zu haben: erstklassig!Die Pizza sieht hervorragend aus und schmeckt ebenso. Fazit:- ausgefeilte Karte- frische Zutaten- sehr schöner Standort- sehr guter Service-... klare 5 von 5!
