"During the Salzburger Festspiele I have been here for dinner on 4 different occasions and have never been disappointed. The restaurant has a very cozy, intimate atmosphere and a truly pretty bar.Prices are reasonable I would say even convenient compared to other 5 star hotels around. Waiters (mostly from hungary) have a slight preference for hotel guests but are kind enough to everyone else. Food is traditional and very well presented. The bread selection is amazing. Tables are far from each others and comfortable. In my opinion the best asset to this restaurant is its clientele: very elegant customers with proper manners makes the atmosphere even more cinematographic.I really can't wait to be back."

Always has other guests in the lounge, nice atmosphere, great cocktail list, and good unobtrusive service.

On our last dinner in Salzburg we dined here. The service was impeccable and very attentive. The food was also very good.

If you like your lounge/bar quiet, then this is the place for you. Great romantic place to have a drink or glass of wine with your spouse without a lot of smoke or noise.

We were staying here and were too tired to walk outside again for a meal, so we ate here and were very pleased we did. It was quite and quick service. Talk about great food however. The soup was terrific and the mains were even better. Highly recommend. View menu

We had a lovely meal here on the night of our first anniversary, whilst also staying at the Hotel. My husband had french onion soup and I had the lobster bisque, we both opted for the venison loin to follow. The food was excellent..although the pancetta with the venison is a tad salty. This is not an inexpensive restaurant but the food and service are certainly worth it.

Small, classy restaurant in the Bristol Hotel serving wonderful upscale local cuisine. Our meals were delectable--the veal poillard and the wienerschnitzel were perfectly cooked, tasty and nicely presented; the salmon app was outstanding; the bottle of Austian Riesling was a perfect accompaniment. Decor was tasteful and classy.Service (Raphael) was exemplary. Highly recommend the Polo Lounge. View menu

My husband and I had made a reservation two months prior, but when we arrived to a totally empty restaurant, the head or matre'd gave us an awful table saying the rest were reserved by a big group. What about our reservations, we asked! So...we proceeded to order and the food was nothing but awful. For dessert, we asked about the strawberries and the head waiter responded they were fresh. They turned out to be dry and as tasty as a stale potato, The waiter shrugged and billed us an exorbitant price anyhow! It is convenient to the MIrabell- but not at all recommended.

I had a reservation for dinner at the hotel's dining room on the last night of my stay. It was excellent.Amuse Bouche of cream cheese, mushrooms, and roast beef.White asparagus with hollandaise sauce, which was delicious. White asparagus has a 3-month "season" and is available at many restaurants, though it's very seldom seen in the U.S.Fried char, perfectly prepared, with beets and a light horseradish sauce with a side of gratineed potatoes.Deep-fried dumplings filled with chocolate with candied plum slices and mango sorbet, which all went perfectly together.Service was impeccable. The dining room was full with both hotel guests and town residents.
