"I opted for the six course tasting menu on a wet and miserable February evening. I was dining alone and so, conveniently, the restaurant has a counter at the front of the restaurant looking out into the street that can seat around five diners. The food throughout was mostly excellent and well worthy of a Michelin star. Particular highlights were the trout, chicken and the rhubarb element of the burnt cheesecake course. However, the confit hens egg course the only course with no meat or fish didn’t quite hit the ticket. The welcome snacks were very good, but it’s a little cheeky to consider this as being one of the courses. In any case, I left the restaurant pretty full in the end. The restaurant had a very pleasant ambiance it’s not a large restaurant and has a small and intimate feel. The waiter who served me was very personable and so I have only positive things to say of the service. When the tasting menu is next refreshed, then I’d happily return."

Great food. Stunning wine. Warm and welcoming staff. This is my mate Adam, he’s single and looking for engaging gentleman.

Lovely as usual. Lunchtime pricing is keener than it used to be to be but with a sellout on tables only to be expected. Great to see BBC stars frequenting the restaurant. View menu

Excellent service in a more casual environment. Open kitchen was nice. Tasting menu was thoughtfully planned and had wonderful touches throughout. One of the best meals I have had in recent years.

Expensive but worth the experience I had the 95 pound one and I enjoyed most of meal but the meat with bread was salty for me. And i personally do not enjoy bread with meat replacing it with potatoes will be more better

What a wonderful experience, great food and great service. I took my boyfriend as a surprise for his birthday and they even did him a card that they all signed. Absolutely cannot fault the service or the food, the atmosphere was lovely as well. Super calm and chilled, we loved it! View menu

This restaurant has one Michelin star but still is a very informal and cozy place with a nice open kitchen where you can see the cooks work very efficiently and coordinated. Focus here is on the superb food. We had the best meal in London all courses were so tasteful that we enjoyed our evening very, very much.

An amazing meal from start to finish, I can't recommend Portland enough! We went for my partner's birthday and the staff at Portland went above and beyond to make the occasion feel special for the both of us. A handwritten happy birthday card on arrival, incredibly knowledgable and friendly staff, a little birthday gift when we finished our meal (honey and sourdough bread made at the restaurant!! . This was all on top of the 6 course taster menu we had which was delicious and well worth the money honestly the experience at Portland was perfect and I will definitely be going back for another meal at this amazing restaurant
