"pleasant liverpool bistro. in the rodney street, 2 minutes from eating mekka, the hope street is. it is a welcoming bistro type location, friendly and vague I really enjoyed my meal there, especially the starter. we started with a ham-hock pudding and a mini-fish cake. the hammock was in suet (I believe). General and damp pieces, cooked in the juices. there was a somewhat less generous screed of oxford sauce we followed with lemon sole and crab crushed kartoffels with homemade tartaric acid. once again could have been done with a little more lubrication. and a lamb in a red wine sauce that could have cooked with another half an hour, so it fell from the bone but all the most pleasant...read more"

If Cilla Black were a restaurant, she would be Puschka . Brassy, bold, preposterously camp and as much a part of the fabric of Liverpool as The Beatles and the tracksuit. View menu

for a tasty bite. I love the atmosphere and the decor here. it is expensive, so somewhere for a contract of my opinion. it is quite covered and the personal is well informed about the menu. the cheese wide is amazing!

eating is nice, but is left off by atmosphere / service. they also tremble into many tables, which leads to the waiter at their chair and the person behind them knock their chair every time they stand up. there are other places to go in town than here for a more polished experience. my advice is also different. ...main courses are plonked down at our table with all the grace of ham-fisted car mechanic, with not so much as an “enjoy your meals” from our enthusiastic yet untrained waiter. It doesn’t go un-noticed and the occasional time we deal with the more experienced waiter the result is largely the same. It’s perfectly acceptable to be un

Puschka is now in its tenth year, it is well-regarded and has secured a very good reputation, but this isn’t what I experienced. Not only do I think, but also hope, that I was there on a bad night. Judging a decade old restaurant on a single visit can leave you riddled with inaccuracies, however my food did have faults, some with conception and others with technique. I really wanted my meal to be good, but ultimately I left disappointed, it’s a great shame for some of the cooking showed real skill and understanding, if only all the dishes could have had the same attention to detail.
