"I have been here about 5 times I guess the best description of it is a cafe. It is a little non descript when you go inside, there a few tables and a counter behind which are an assortment of pastries, steamed buns, rice parcels, and a menu for sandwiches (which I haven't tried but hear they're good). The place has odd opening times they seem to close at about 4 pm but it's an excellent place to grab a quick lunch or a snack before catching a bus on St Clements. For the good: the steamed buns are AMAZING! I have tried the Char Siu Pork buns, the chicken and the vegetable. All the ingredients for the filling taste fresh, and have great texture. As you cut into it you can see everything clearly the fillings haven't turned to mush which is great! The buns are pillowy and delectable. The rice parcels are very tasty and have a generous amount of meat or veg inside. The pastries... The coconut custard once is delicious and subtle. Flaky, crunchy pastry filled with creamy and slightly warm thick coconut custard. The red bean one is almost more savoury than sweet but equally delicious and I once had a garlic one which was sweet and while it took some getting used to, ultimately delicious. This place is quiet, the staff are friendly and it is simple in its decor. While it doesn't seem anything special it is one of those little gems which remains unapologetic for simply being what it is delicious every day food."

I have been craving banh mi since moving here and I am so happy that Rachel's is serving it! Their banh mi sandwiches are satisfying all of my sandwich cravings. The sticky rice is delicious as well, although the bao is not as impressive.

I'm a regular at this sweet Asian bakery. The bao buns are to die for and the sweet pastries are lovely too. I also love the tofu satay banh mi. I come here with friends all the time and it goes down a treat. Fantastic veggie options but my meat loving friends are always happy too. Love it here:

During a day trip to Oxford from London, I was pleasantly surprised to come across an Asian bakery. The staff was friendly and the service was great. The coffee was delicious and the BBQ pork buns we tried were fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place to others and will make sure to visit again next time I'm in Oxford. View menu

This place is very handy if you are waiting for the London or Airport bus, but worth visiting just to eat the buns. They do steamed buns (char siu, veg, custard etc), sticky rice parcels, baguettes and banh mi, as well as cakes and pastries. And coffee and tea. There is seating. This is a great place for lunch or a snack, really tasty.

Been visiting Rachel's for nearly 4 years...so worth the journey and we save up for this special occasion much better waiting than going for nearby places with dishes that aren't up to scratch and charge twice as much. You can really tell the skill and care put into the food from the cookies to the paos and egg tarts and roast pork pastries...we can live here . For special festivals they go out of their way to make Bachang sticky rice parcels for Dragonboat Festival. Definitely making note for next year's dates!
