"I have been here about 5 times I guess the best description of it is a cafe. It is a little non descript when you go inside, there a few tables and a counter behind which are an assortment of pastries, steamed buns, rice parcels, and a menu for sandwiches (which I haven't tried but hear they're good). The place has odd opening times they seem to close at about 4 pm but it's an excellent place to grab a quick lunch or a snack before catching a bus on St Clements. For the good: the steamed buns are AMAZING! I have tried the Char Siu Pork buns, the chicken and the vegetable. All the ingredients for the filling taste fresh, and have great texture. As you cut into it you can see everything clearly the fillings haven't turned to mush which is great! The buns are pillowy and delectable. The rice parcels are very tasty and have a generous amount of meat or veg inside. The pastries... The coconut custard once is delicious and subtle. Flaky, crunchy pastry filled with creamy and slightly warm thick coconut custard. The red bean one is almost more savoury than sweet but equally delicious and I once had a garlic one which was sweet and while it took some getting used to, ultimately delicious. This place is quiet, the staff are friendly and it is simple in its decor. While it doesn't seem anything special it is one of those little gems which remains unapologetic for simply being what it is delicious every day food."
