beautiful pub. the most friendly staff. they even brought out a small sausage plate for the dog! exactly what we needed after a walk.

I visited on Sunday as a walk in and the beef was overcooked and chewy and the food was not very pleasant. Disappointed with this visit.

Nice modern pub maybe missing a bit of cosiness, lovely food but my chips were a bit salty, but my friends chips were fine. Lots of radiators if you need to come in from the cold

I have been dining at this restaurant for both lunch and dinner for some time now. The staff is consistently friendly and helpful. The decor is beautiful, and I especially love the charming beer garden. The food is absolutely delicious, the best fish and chips I have had in years! In terms of pricing, the meal deal offers unbeatable value.

In all the years of living in this area, I finally visited this pub for Sunday lunch with our three sons. I’d heard some good reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The roast was very tasty without being piled high on the plate. Vegetables can often be bland but every item on the plate was full of flavour. The apple crumble was very wholesome and delicious. I have started frequenting this restaurant for weekday dinners with fellow local mothers and our babies. We really enjoy the food, which is delicious and very reasonably priced given the location. The staff at the restaurant are all very friendly, and we always have a pleasant experience whenever we visit. The interior of the restaurant is lovely, and the garden outside is also beautiful.

We had a surprise 30th birthday celebration for my son and booked the Lower bar for the event for 30 guests. It was perfect! The staff were accommodating and helpful and really entered into the occasion. We were able to decorate the area with banners,balloons etc. And the food was first class! We went for the Gold choice menu and it was amazing. Thank you so much The Ramblers Rest for making this event such a memorable occasion.

The food is tasty, and the new chef is working hard to bring new and exciting items to the menu.
