"We booked a table at Red Lion Inn from hearing about the place from friends, we received a warm welcome as soon as we stepped in the door, got shown to our table straight away, drinks order take and browsed the menu, there where a...few specials on the board along with a nice range of drinks including non alcoholic drinks which is a savour for any driver. We ordered a A steak and the beef Wellington, we where told it would take a little time for the Beef wellington to cook but it was well worth it, food arrived and it was delicious cooked perfectly both meals where fantastic and decent portions. Deserts again where delicious and sticky toffee pudding and bread and butter pudding . The staff where excellent lovely friendly and chatty, especially the lady that looked after us and took orders I apologise we never got her name) who joked around with customers and not a dull face serving food . I also found for the quality the food was priced very reasonably, we loved this little restaurant and pub and will defiantly return"

nice small pub to visit, but we went as a 14 family event that we booked a Sunday dinner, but 8 Sunday meals, where served in pasta dishes. Unfortunately, even worse Sunday dinner we had ever. nothing like the pictures on the website. Also had...to extra for yorkshire puddings that cooked over. they gave them only one star because they served alcohol.

We were staying in an Airbnb nearby and chanced our luck here as the options nearer were fully booked. The welcome was so friendly, the menu varied and the ambience of the place was marvelous. The food we ordered was delicious and even had room...for dessert too which weren't too huge portions. The customer service continued throughout the evening and we were made to feel appreciated.

We booked into the Red Lion on Wednesday 28th for dinner, Seven of us and our Mum, nothing was too much trouble. We were greeted by Bernie who couldn’t have been more welcoming. The food was lovely, so much so that we booked in again...for the next evening, being our last night in Cornwall. The meals were fairly priced and what we would expect to pay. Thank you to all of the staff and especially to you Bernie, will definitely be seeing you again

We visited the Red Lion on Saturday for a family gathering and birthday celebration! We had the best time and found the venue to be just perfect for a large party to meet, chat and eat together (20 people). Wendy secured the back room for...us we had plenty of space and access to the bar. The food was just excellent. No complaints, everyone very happy with their choice. We pre-ordered as we were such a big group. Our waitress was super friendly and efficient, reminding us who had ordered what Thank you for making the evening a huge success. We will be back for sure!

"So let us share our experience, We went in tonight as a family after seeing that it home made food on the drive to sennen and looked online and had a good look at the food available on the menu also looking to see if it was dog friendly and it ticked all the boxes, Upon arrival me and my wife went in 1st to ask if we could have a table for food and if dogs can go inside and staff were a little unsure but they confirmed we could upon asking for a table for 7 but one in a pram he said we don’t have the availability to cater I was looking at a table big enough and eventually said that this table was available whilst being seated we had 2 table one clean and the 2nd just been finished with so needed a clean but he came and cleaned both tables and he squirted the cleaner on a clean table and the over spray bounced off the table and went over our selfs then we were handed a menu freshly printed A4 paper thrown on the table (WET TABLE) so they stuck to the table upon agreeing what we wanted we went to the bar within 2-3 mins of being seated we knew what we wanted and when we asked for the meal it was OUT OF STOCK (Sunday lunch) ok fair so as I was with a family member at the bar I quickly rushed back to the table to ask my daughter of an alternative she wasn’t happy, So I made a meal up of all the extras on the menu so I went back to the bar to find my family member ordered 2 fish and chips then I realised my wife also wanted Sunday lunch so I quickly rushed back to ask her what she wanted and went back to the bar just as my family member left and asked for fish and chips was also sold out also! 99% of the menu was SOLD OUT this should of been discussed upon arrival not as we were ordering I run and operate my own business and this isn’t how I would treat my customers this isn’t how an establishment should be ran! Even when I was standing trying to order a member of staff was standing there arm against the wall doing nothing while customers are standing waiting to be served! So we decided not to eat and my family member went back to the bar to ask for a refund as we couldn’t eat as a family and the staff were iffy about offering a refund but 10 minutes later they did refund my family member as it became a scene for other people as they could see what had happened! This establishment should be call the 1st and late time you come here! We ended up walking to the chip shop down the road for food we are very disappointed in this company and establishment! For anyone who wants to eat please make sure they HAVE STOCK how can this establishment run without stock? Never again tonight they lost over £200 revenue due to this situation!"
