"Happy hour Monday all day really good value. Food prepped and seasoned well. Service ok felt like our waitress couldn’t wait to give us the bill and get rid off us. As soon as we finished the last plate she turned our grill off, didn’t check if we’d like to order more food and we asked to order another plate of food, she made a point of switching the grill back on. Again as soon as we finished that she took our plates and handed us the bill. Reluctant to pay the 12.5% service charge but the other waiter who changed our grill was pleasant and friendly."

I made the trip assuming it was open since I was able to book a reservation before the 7th and checked online, which indicated it was open. It was very inconvenient and disappointing as I had planned to have my birthday meal there."

"SPOILER: AVOID THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU APPRECIATE GOOD SERVICEAs we were staying at the Grange Hotel at St Paul’s we decided to eat in and chose their Japanese restaurant Benihana. We booked for 7.30pm and were running a little late arriving at 7.45pm. A young lady greeted us, asked if we had booked which we confirmed we had, she then left explaining she would get the manager to attend to us. A couple of minutes passed whilst we observed that the restaurant was hardly busy with perhaps 12 covers. Then another young lady greeted us, again asking had we booked and again we confirmed we had and explained we were being seen to. We then waited another couple of minutes, admittedly by now feeling a little neglected. Just then the manager passed by us carrying two chairs and addressing us over his shoulder saying “I know you are waiting just give me a minute and I will be with you”. Sure enough a minute later the manager appeared, again asking whether we had booked, which we confirmed and then, upon checking the computer turned to us and in a surly tone said “You’re late, you should have been here at 7.30.” We were absolutely stunned, particularly given that a large part of the time lapse had been due to their lack of attention upon our arrival. Quite the most appalling service we have ever had and we had not yet managed to reach the table. Needless to say we walked out and ate at an excellent Japanese restaurant, Uramaya, down the road where we had not booked, and where we were warmly welcomed. Unfortunately this restaurant completely lets down an otherwise excellent hotel."

"Somehow the service here is abysmal when we ask if it’s possible for some accommodation for our food intolerance, our waitress just started to give us a hostile attitude, then said she would check n come back to us but never came back. Instead just started serving food for us without letting us know if accommodation can be made so we could dine here safely. Our order was messed up. Many things was taken down wrong and the correct items were not served until we’ve asked again a long time later. Also never informed us of anything on the table that potentially contains food intolerance trigger until we almost finished everything. It’s a very bad dining experience given we’ve ordered 150£ worth of food. Maybe won’t return to this brunch."

"Incredible disappointed as have been to other Benihana’s and had a fantastic experience. We arrived early and weren’t allowed to sit down which was fine as we sat at the hotel bar. When we went back to be seated we were only told then they were short of chefs so no one would be cooking in-front of us... isn’t that why you go there?! There was quite a language barrier between us and the waitress but we soon found out they had NO sushi or sashimi!!! Had they had the courtesy to be honest and tell us beforehand we could’ve booked a different venue instead of wasting our evening which we were meant to be celebrating my boyfriends birthday. We left with no apology and will not be revisiting."

"the first time to eat here, absolutely loved. meat was to die, much salat hot and cold, but the meat is the star, huh, bark, steak, but the Brazilian sausages are simply the most delicious type of sausage I have ever tasted. in contrast to some restaurants they know how to keep a good pint. happy cold brahma went down a tasty bite. everything in all I can say that I come back. fantastic!"

"The welcome was good as the staff kept the surprise a secret. The starter was excellent and a good choice. The main meat selections were bad. The steak was either too dry, or too tough. The chicken wrapped in bacon was also wrapped in salt and the hot chicken thighs were just too spicy to enjoy. The chicken hearts were just chewy bits of dry chicken. No ribs available, we sat at 2030hrs so not too late, just compounded the dismay. Not to say this is the standard but the four of us were expecting a lot more. My wife and i went to a different steakhouse the next night and the meal was divine and half the cost (retrospectively)"

"open. We stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. I ordered the grilled salmon and was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful and well-cooked it was. The side dishes were also delicious and well-prepared. My friend, who had the vegetarian pasta, also enjoyed her meal. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. Overall, we had a great dining experience and would definitely come back, perhaps to try the steak next time."

"we will go to Bem-Blasilien in leeds, as it is open, unfortunately it is nothing as good as it was once. no personal seemed to be a person who welcomed customers, clearing table, bar etc., therefore the service was not great. the buffet selection seems to be getting worse and worse when we go with many things that no one seems to eat, but empty spaces where popular dinge like pommes and kartoffels should be. unfortunately I do not think we will return in a hurry, for a similar price fazenda is roads ahead."

"I had a nice afternoon. it was a Tuesday between the lunch break and the evening break, so the place was quite empty, but the self-service side shell buffet was fully equipped and beautiful and fresh. Maybe 20 cold sides and 6 hot dishes including roasts. many of my favorites. the lunch menu has only 6 meats, but really how much meat can a person eat in a session? the flesh was very nice and just came back, I had a little of all 6 and a second aid from my favorites. I enjoyed it all and ate far, far too much. Maybe if they did her meat well, it would be better to give the steak and the lamb a missing one, but they were perfect for me. the personal was friendly and attentive. Maybe it was another story when it was busy, I don't know. but all in all, very impressed by the cheapest rodizio in the city. I'm back in a definitiw."

"Absolutely amazing! I went with my boyfriend on Friday night for a lovely meal. He recently moved to the area and we had been told by many locals it was the place to go when in the area. It was more than I expected, the service and A le Carte menu surpassed our expectations. On arrival we didn't reserve an area) we was greeted with warm smiles by all the waiters and staff, who treated us like we were the only people in the restaurant. Despite having a full house we were given a great table and it wasn't just the staff who were smiling, all those who had come in to dine were too. "Our first venture in since the new menu was introduced. A warm welcome from Brian who showed us to our table put us at our ease. He explained she that would be over to take our drinks order, and Sophie would be looking after us throughout our meal. we have a difficult time choosing from the menu as it had all our favourites. We picked the creamy mushrooms and the duck and orange pâté for our starters. I was going to have a roast, as it sounded delicious, but I was tempted away by the sharing platter of prawns, sticky chicken, lamb koftas with humus, tzatziki and flatbread. The food duly arrived, beautifully presented with pretty edible flowers. The pâté was smooth and tasty, and the toasted bread with it was delicious. The button mushrooms were in a rich creamy buttery sauce on a slice of toast. Main courses were a triumph, brought to the table by Tom, a very pleasant young man : roast sirloin of beef, a trio with beef pork and turkey accompanied by all the trimmings, and my mixed platter.Every single element was perfect from Yorkshire puddings and bacon wrapped stuffing, to the al dente broccoli, French beans, roasted parsnips carrots and potatoes, and cauliflower cheese. All irresistible and cooked to perfection, compliments to Joe, the chef. We had a breather with a coffee, then forced ourselves to choose a pudding, a tricky task as they were all so tempting, and we plumped for strawberry trifle with extra custard and raspberry sorbet I loved Sophie, she didn’t say no to anything! double chocolate brownie, and the phenomenal mango pavlova, the prettiest dessert I’d ever seen. Happily they all exceeded our expectations with their tastes and flavours. The pink and white swirled meringue in the pavlova was flavoured with a zingy fruity flavour which was a delicious surprise to me, and the best meringue I’ve ever had. Overall, we were delighted with our visit, and we’ve rebooked for next week already."

"We walked in thinking we had made reservations but it seemed the restaurant didn't us down. However, the hostess was very kind and offered us a table near the front door... we didn't mind and were happy we got seated because the restaurant was already packed. For Starters we ordered the pan fried shrimp and the calamari. Oh My! The shrimp were succulent and the calamari were tender and both were very yummy. For our entrees, we ordered the Fish Cakes and the Sword Fish with orange sauce. Both were delicious and the flavors exceeded our expectations. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere but a first class service... absolutely top notch. The prices are fair and affordable for this top quality seafood. This was definitely a dining experience not to be forgotten."

"Fantastic food terrible staff except the manager who was lovely. On entry I went to the bar as no one was about. I was greeted with “yes”, I said I had a table for two booked for 50th birthday. I expected to be shown to a table but she just waved her arm in the air and said, sit where you like. RUDE. No one came to ask if we wanted a drink so again had to go and find someone. I asked the manager for a cocktail menu which he bought me. Still no one came to take my order so I called across to the bar to ask for a cocktail and was told I could only have what was on tap. So I said, what’s the point of giving me a cocktail menu then. I told her the manager gave me the menu, she went off in a huff muttering what sounded like, well I’m not doing it, but I can’t be sure. She came back and said, ok you can have one then, which the manager made for me. Which I might add was lovely. The service didn’t get any better from the waitress’s and bar maid. I pointed out that they had an ant problem as they were crawling over the window sill. I took photos, they said the ants were attracted to my cocktail. Having said all that the food was excellent, so if you don’t mind the attitude of staff it’s worth going for the tasty food. It’s a beautiful setting and lovely building."

"Overpriced for what it is, despite premium location. Service slow, dishes arrived one at a time, when we'd clearly stated each of us (3 in total, not 10) was having their own rather than sharing. One dish was forgotten, luckily not charged to us. No allergies indicated on the menu, the waiter had to come to the table and go through each dish one by one with me. For a place of this caliber, I'd expect more. And it wasn't super busy either."
