"I had not heard about or eaten Abyssinian, Ethiopian, Somalian and Eritrean foods but this restaurant converted me into a fan of these foods. I've been going there since 2007 with my family, friends- overseas friends especially like eating there as they've not had this kind of food before. The decor is a bit dated but the food is great- my son tells me that even their lasagne is good (he used to eat that when he was young but now he has graduated to the spicy foods! . We like the ginger chicken curry, the lamb molokhia, humus and the big vegetarian platter with Ingera and vegetables and eggs cooked with surprising flavours and aromatic spices. The rice is great too and please don't forget to ask for their fresh spicy tomato sauce! They have lunchtime specials for £6-00 with soup and a mains which is great value. The people are very friendly and helpful."

We happily make the drive from the outskirts of London to dine at this restaurant. Our go-to dish is the Red Sea Special, which includes a delicious platter of various vegan/vegetarian dishes served with Injera (sour flatbread). Every visit leaves us impressed with the well-cooked, flavorful, and fresh food. The staff are friendly and engaging, always willing to chat with customers.

Came here for lunch ordered a couple of starters and a small sharing plate. We a re both very good eaters and it was enough for 2. Starters eggplant okra were delicious and made us hoping for more. The main was excellent. We tried three different Ethiopian restaurants in and around London and I have to say. Fou d this to be the best! All small dishes very well prepared and all tasting very good. Will be back for more...!

I went to the Red Sea Restaurant with my family the other day. It was the first time we had tried Abyssinian food and it was absolutely delicious. Wonderfully tasty and varied veggie options fabulous grilled aubergine babaganoush, spicy lentil and broad bean dahl, green beans, haloumi, stuffed vine leaves etc. all served on very tasty Injera bread as well as huge warm flat breads at the side. Incredible value for money and very friendly, polite service. Our waitress was so welcoming and kind. We will definitely be back!
