Restaurant Loft - Menu

Very good Restaurant in the pedestrain zone of Potsdam on the top of the building with view to the Nicolai church and castleParliament. Very tasty local and German food. Very good atmosphere and coshy style

A shame really, went there twice as we were intrigued by the location. Both times we were greeted by the same, seemingly overworked, waitress. Made our request for a place on the terrace seem like a nuisance..... decided to take our hard earned cash elsewhere........shame, considering the location...

Stumbled into this place for dinner. Was positively surprised. Interesting dishes and drinks. Attentive service, good food and cheerful service. Place was not very busy when we visited. Must have nice views in summertime over the city. In March we had to sit indoors. Would...visit again if in Potsdam View menu

I have only one thing to say THEY DONT HAVE an MENU in ENGLISH they have only GERMAN menu which its very unpleasant for tourists. How you can order if you are not a local and you are not speaking german, even staff they dont...speak english, they have a very bad english and you cannot understand many things. I dont know what you can order beside of snitzel cause its the only word you can understand

In Potsdam on a tour and had a lunch break.....walking along and saw a 'sandwich board' about a restaurant on the floor of the building......thought we would check it out. They were able to seat us, so we stayed....glad we did. Had a very...nice lunch....Soljanka Wurzfleish.....beet soup and a bowl of turkey, mushroom cheese in a gravy with good bread. The food, a beer and bottle of sparkling water totaled Euros. Service was very good pleasant....waitress spoke good English....restaurant does accept credit cards

Finding the entrance is easy once you understand that Loft means just that you need to take a lift to the 3rd floor. Enter a door next to McDonalds first that looks like any other office building's. Modern style decoration, friendly and service minded...staff. Food is a bit on the pricey side, but you have a selection of local specialties as well as burgers. The preussian goulasch is of a local type, not like the Hungarian but tasty. The brave could try the Potzdamer Schwarze, a blood sausage that is surprisingly nice. To be honest, our timing was bad because we were there during the celebrations in observance of the opening of the Berlin Wall, and we...arrived after the usual lunch time. We came upon the Loft and went up the elevator to the entrance. It took awhile for the waitstaff to notice we were there, even though we were a large group. The other people there seemed to be regulars who were there to enjoy a usual afternoon snack and to socialize. We were seated out on the balcony and had a fairly nice view of the city. A group of about a dozen friends showed up for dinner as reserved. Everyone was wearing a mask. We were left milling in the reception area for a long time although clearly the tables and chairs were waiting unoccupied right next to us. It took...about fifteen minutes to get us seated. When I asked the waiter, a middleaged man, about staff not wearing masks, he threw a hissy fit and commented that we could all **** off. After seating the group, he left us sitting without coming to us for over minutes even to take drink orders. Even then, he gave me a hard time at every turn, shunning me deliberately.
