The food served in Lucent is very good some of the finest in Essen-Rüttenscheid. Lovingly prepared and made using high-quality ingredients, this Italian restaurant offers great service and brilliant value-for-money.

This is a great restaurant. Italian restaurants can be hit and miss in Germany but the food here is very good! Lovely wine and in a nice location too. Staff aren't in any hurry to get you out or serve you sometimes. But just relax...and enjoy.

This restaurant offers a true variety of foods not just the typical Italian style. Food was fresh and well prepared. The wine menu was mainly Italian but the choices were acceptable to most prices levels. I would definitely recommend if you are in Essen. Enjoy?

Small, quiet and classy Italian food. The online menu is not in English and their printed menus do not explicitly identify gluten-free dishes but when I visited (September they had a a knowledgeable and fluent english speaking hostess who was able to confirm gluten-free...options including a choice of starters, mains and desserts.

First I must state that the food at this place is quite extraordinary. I've been there quite often and we never had anything to complain about a meal. On the downside though the service is not very welcoming. The waiters have quite an attitude, almost...never saying please thanks or excuse me And even though the food is superb whenever I am at this place and don't feel comfortable. Would I recommend this place? To be honest: No, I wouldn't.

I was at this restaurant on Saturday I never heard of this place before. A friend, who lives in Essen, made the reservation. We arrived about minutes early. Even though the place was pretty full we had no problem getting our table for...two right away! I didn't want to read through the wine list and ask the waitress to recommend a wine from the Umbria region with at least Montepulciano. The waitress came back and recommended a Montepulciano. It turned out to be an excellent choice. I had the Tuna tartar. It was fantastic. The perfect amount of sesame oil made this a real treat. Service and food were outstanding at a reasonable cost. Highly recommended.

We went by chance to this restaurant with colleagues to have a quick lunch before leaving the city: The menu was in German but the waitress was very patient and kindly translated all the terms we did not understand and even described visually the...type of fish named Steinbutt (confirmed later that it is turbot). We had only a main course and of us had this turbot: Mine was perfectly grilled and served with a vegetables rissoto. My colleagues enjoyed as well their turbot one with herbs and the other one with a light mustard sauce) and ravioli filled with mushrooms. Lunch was not cheap however the quality of the food was worth it and in addition the service was very kind and efficient.

the lucente has become a permanent address for us in the last time when it comes to demanding Italian food.The reason for this is the three important components eating, service and ambience.Of course, the most important aspect to assess a restaurant is the quality of the foods served to the gast. in this thema there are in the lucente but no two opinions => the eating is always sophisticated and perfectly prepared.As the thema service, a perfect and attentive service is always offered. no glass remains empty, no question to eat unanswered and always with greatest kindness.After our appreciation, the ambiente is also pleasing. the two large windows and the bright furnishings give a feeling of...

Last week I had a business dinner for in Lucente. This restaurant was recommended by the owner of another restaturant (my favorite in Essen, Tablo). This is a small well decorated nice looking restaurant. The food and the service was close to perfect but...when we asked for the bill, we felt we were cheated. We ordered a fixed menu for person. In the menu kart it was written that Menu für Zwei Personen- . We also wanted to have a soup and the handsome and very polite waiter told us that he will put it also in the menu for When we finished and asked for the bill, we were expecting a bill like drinks. What we received was drinks. So they charged plus the soups as an addition. So double of what...
