Order the prawn pineapple salad. Divine! Would go back for this everyday if I was there again. Simply amazing and sorry I didn't take a photo.

We were just in Cologne for PhotoKina and wanted a good German food experience, and this was it! The meat is marvelous, the potatoes, divine. We even found an inexpensive Nebbilol. and it was excellent. Great experience, the services was lovely, the staff welcoming. We were enormously pleased.

We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking to the Chocolate Museum. We were looking for a cafe for breakfast, but a server welcomed us and told us they have breakfast. We ordered a French breakfast and an American breakfast. I asked for scrambled eggs and the chef agreed to make it. The French breakfast was absolutely delicious. The American was just ok. The ham tasted like store bought sliced ham and it was cold. The eggs were just ok, but I can't complain about that since it was a special order. I have a new favorite food. Move over pizza..... Hello Flammkuchen! This fabulous food is pizza's lovelier and thinner cousin who lives on the Rhine. She's glamorous and crisp and flavorful and just a little bit exotic (in a way that's friendly and approachable). I had one with tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and rocket (European arugula) and my boyfriend's had smoked salmon, spinach, and garlic. The crusts were cracker thin and crisp.... but not too crisp. They had an inner tenderness that was heavenly. Baked in a brick oven, they had a slight char that added an amazing flavor. They were both drizzled with amazingly flavorful olive oil. TL;DR DO NOT EAT HERE. Plates delivered without requested modification to leave off potato and covered in gravy which was not mentioned on menu. Ended up still being charged for meals we couldn 't eat due to dietary restrictions. Let me preface this review by saying that I 'm German.
