"We popped in for a quick lunch on what was still a relatively busy Friday afternoon, but got served quickly and found a table easily. Tea was served in proper mugs at a decent strength, my BBQ chicken panini had proper chunks of chicken and was not drowning in sauce and to really top it off, the crisps were paired!! No half a dozen plain crisps, but a generous serving of roast chicken crisps!! Tasted great, lovely and fresh would definitely return!"

I had virtually given up trying to find any Indian, Chinese or Thai restaurant open in Bridgend (or anywhere in S Wales) and resigned myself to going to the Caff in the Market.

I’ve now eaten here several times. It is a small cafe with plastic table cloths that is slowly expanding into the wider market to cater for the expanding clientele. Today it was particularly busy and I was lucky to get a table.

We traveled from the valleys just to enjoy breakfast at this restaurant, and it was worth it! The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the staff are always friendly. You won't have to wait more than five minutes for your food after placing your order. View menu

Took a visit to the market and decided to have breakfast at this little cafe. Good selection of meals with small, medium and large size choice. Food was cooked well and serving was generous. They also serve Thai meals. Prices were very reasonable and worth going back again.

Just went up the the Rhiw with some colleagues for an all day breakfast and this little place was bustling! I couldn’t believe how busy it was on a Wednesday morning. The atmosphere was great. A proper little town cafe. The food was also brilliant. Cooked fresh and hot. I highly recommend this little place! View menu

My friend and I enjoy the Thai cuisine at this restaurant. We never have to wait too long and the food is always fresh. We have also sampled the English breakfasts, which are delicious as well. The friendly staff and the tasty Thai food keep us coming back again and again. I would have given it 5 stars, but unfortunately it's not right next door to me!

Yesterday, we took the number 1X Clipper bus from the Quadrant bus station in Swansea to Bridgend. While exploring the local market, we decided to have lunch at the Rhiw Teapot Café. The food was excellent, drinks were good, and the service was top-notch. The tables were very clean. We will definitely be stopping by again on our next visit to this town.

"So came here last night 13th oct. 9 of us 2 of which 2 young kids. Had starter , calamari this was ok, sauce was nice. Main was lovely which was lasagne really quite tasty it came with chips which were nothing special if im honest, i ordered a side of garlic bread with it which was nice, The host was a nice guy very chatty, the staff seemed a little clumsy if im honest, just as we sat down a tray of drinks went down the back of my sister because the waitress wasn't looking what she was doing although accidents do happen so no biggy, although I will say nothing was offered! No extra drinks, a free starter, nothing!!! This brings me on to the cost. Not much beer choice at all, consisting of draught peroni which was are you sitting down) £6.50 a pint! So I ordered a bottle of bishops finger which i thought was a 500ml bottle, it didn't say on the menu the size of the drink which i think it should have, Well the bottle came and it was a 330ml bottle!! £4.70 for a 330ml bottle!!! im sorry but thats to much, come on guys. We all had a starter and a main with dessert each, i had the newyork cheesecake, which was ok but tasted abit like something frozen, didn't seem home made to me anyway. The Total bill came to just over £400!!! £60 of which was a service charge i was told by someone on the table, but the owner has now said that there was no service charge so if this is the case then i apologise), we were a decent size group but you know when you've gone somewhere and feel that the cost is just too much. Nice restaurant but too expensive imo."
