"We were not necessarily the usual clientele: Six women of all former employees of the same law firm. We meet four times a year, each time at a different restaurant in Hamburg, and are prepared to spend some money. It started out wellwe wanted...cocktails, which seemed to please the waiter. He then proceeded to talk us into the house's selection of starters. The whole time he acted like he was talking to old women who didn't have their wits about them. In any event, I ordered an aperol spritz after all, we were at an Italian restaurant. It came without the orange slice the waiter probably thought: she won't notice.... I complained and half an hour later he brought an orange slice on a spoon and dumped it into my glass with some flippant comment. As to the starters, they started coming about an hour after we arrived. First two plates, then half an hour break, then two more, then minutes later another one and so on and so forth. We all actually wanted a hot meal and started asking for the menu so we could all order our choices. They didn't have a paper menu corona, the universal excuse, and the chalkboard was always otherwise employed. The menu never came. It was getting chilly and windy on the terrace and we asked to be reseated inside. It took them about minutes to get the table ready. Once we were inside we were completely ignored for at least half an hour, while other guests were greeted with maskless hugs etc. Finally a waiter came and a few of us ordered desert. I went home hungry. This was the first time our group was able to meet since started, and it was a REAL BUMMER. If you're young and hip, maybe they will tolerate you at this restaurant. Maybe they will even give you good service. If you're not, don't dare go there"

Meine Familie und ich waren zum Abendessen im caruso. Die Bedienung witzig und kinderfreundlich. Es gab eine Abendkarte mit großer Auswahl von verschiedenen Gerichten. Dazu passende Weine. Das Essen war köstlich. Grazie.

Eccelente nel servizio e nel mangiare. Per chi avesse nostalgia dei sapori italiani non puo atenersi nell'andare a visitare questo ristorante ricco di sapori VERI italiani. Il personale e molto attento alle esigenze dei clienti. Saluti a tutti.

schöne und gute Karte, ergänzt durch Tagesangebote; Küche ist sehr gut; Wartezeit auf Hauptgänge etwas zu lang; Service ist sehr gut; Ambiente "ok"; im Sommer ist die Terrasse zu empfehlen; Restaurant ist nicht allzu groß, daher ist eine vorab Reservierung sinnvoll

Das kleine Lokal in einer sehr ruhigen Ecke Hamburgs verfügt zusätzlich über eine schöne Terrasse. Die Speisen sind excellent.Der Weinkeller hat top Weine zu bieten. Preislich ist es dem Niveau der Küche angepasst, allerdings nicht überteuert. Bedienung ist super freundlich und kontaktfreudig. Unbedingte Empfehlung.

Exzellente und kreative italienische Küche, die aber im Preis-Leistungsverhältnis besser als das um die Ecke gelegene Gallo Nero ist: Das finden wir immer wieder im Caruso in der Dorotheenstraße. Wir gehen sehr gerne hier hin. Die Tageskarte ist kreativ, der Service bemüht und freundlich. Selbst wenn man spätabends hier nur noch ein Dessert einnimmt, wird man zuvorkommend bedient.

Nur aus spontanem Zufall heraus landeten wir im CARUSO und haben überraschend gut und schmackhaft italienisch gegessen! Neben der Speisekarte gibt es zahlreiche tagesaktuelle Gerichte der Saison. Bis hin zum Dessert war alles ober-lecker, so dass wir uns dieses Ristorante für die Zukunft merken werden. Noch dazu, weil es eine große Terrasse gibt, die an lauen Abenden gewiss zum gemütlichen Verweilen einlädt.

Venerdí sera a cena con amici. Cibo eccellente accompagnato da cordialitá e simpatia a tavola ( servizio professionale e disponibile ad ogni vizio e capriccio del cliente). Una piacevolissima sorpresa, un locale che respira e fa respirare a pieni polmoni “aria di casa“. Sicuramente consigliato, 100% italiano, cosa non scontata visti i tempi e visti i fenomeni di contraffazione e distorsione di ciò che dovrebbe rappresentare la cucina e il gusto italiano all'estero. Torneró senza dubbio alcuno.

Eccellente.Si percorre un viaggio tra i sapori e i profumi ricercati nelle pietanze di ottima cucina, che gira tutta la terra d'Italia... ad accompagnare il tutto un'ottimo succo d'uva conservato nella ricca cantina.Si conclude il giro con dolci di prelibata bontà e vin santo di altissima distillazione di Pantelleria e grappa barricata...Ragazzi, non importa il fine... quel che merita è il mezzo...Consigliato non per ultimo per la gentilezza e la cordialità del personale.

Das Caruso ist schon vor längerer Zeit zu unserem Lieblingsitaliener geworden. Die Karte ist nicht überladen und für die Tageskarte werden sich in regelmäßigen Abständen neue Köstlichkeiten überlegt. Sogar Sonderwünsche werden von der Küche umgesetzt. Die Produkte sind super frisch, wir wurden hier noch nie enttäuscht! Abgesehen vom exzellenten Essen, ist das Team sehr herzlich und gastfreundlich. Sie nehmen sich immer Zeit, auch mal privat mit den Gästen zu schnacken! Im Sommer kann man es sich auf der schönen Terrasse gemütlich machen. Das Caruso ist immer einen Besuch wert!
