"This is a wonderful little restaurant on a side street that serves excellent fish dishes. Rarely I have seen a swordfish Carpaccio on a menu of late and was thrilled by the fabric thin slices of fresh fish that arrived at the table. A tasty... of capers and thin rings of red onions along with a hint of oil and vinegar made this a tasteful and refreshing starter. Enough for two if you order several courses per person. holding with fish, on the waiter recommendation; the whole Dorado was beautifully left in a salted skin, which leaves the flocky meat in steamy and moist. A dish of steamed vegetables next to the perfect meal. Also on the table was an order of lamb hacks; five beautiful size chops cooked medium with cut garlic and fresh rosemary sprigs to garnish. the same vegetables; Broccoli, green beans, sliced potato and carrots as well. Easy preparation to dress the maximum pleasure; less is more. Desserts looked tempting, but were saved for another visit. There are plenty of seats for groups or families and the interior is cool with low lighting makes it particularly welcoming on a hot day. There is an outdoor seat that is not used at the time of this visit. A well-stocked bar and an adequate wine list complete the experience."

On einem urigen und zugleich gemütlichen Kellergewölbe waren wir mit unserem Italienischkurs zu Gast im Il Gambero. Die Karte ist eigentlich klassisch und so wie man sie seitens eines italienischen Restaurants erwartet. Wir waren alle happy mit dem Essen, dem Service und dem Ambiente. Auch die Absprachen für die Gruppe und das Reservieren waren problemlos. Das Il Gambero ist eine Bereicherung für Germersheim und Umgebung.
