"At the end of May 2016 we discovered the newly built Royal Gourmet restaurant. At that time it was another construction site. Searches on the Internet revealed that they are the sister restaurant of the Royal Garden in Berlin-Lichterfelde. Some time later, we drove to the site to see how far the construction works were advanced. A friendly construction worker handed us a business card of the future restaurant and said it could take a few weeks. On the Facebook page of the Royal Garden I found similar information. It probably took a little longer than planned, and finally the opening of the Royal Gourmet in Berlin-Britz was on 28.08.16. On the evening of 28.08. we drove. On the large parking lot outside the door we found a parking space for our car. When we entered the restaurant, we were wondering how big it was. On the left, right and in the slightly elevated middle there were several tables. Everything worked very generously, the tables were so far apart that the guests had enough space. On the sides we saw Separées for small groups. The restaurant was well visited. The biggest storm was over, we found a table without any problems. A short time later we were kindly greeted and received the cards. At noon there is a Chinese buffet. In the evening a Mongolian buffet is offered. In addition, à la carte dishes that sounded interesting. The beverage menu included the usual offer of beer, wine, spirits (also some of my esteemed Chinese ham), soft drinks, hot drinks. Prices are in the upper average to slightly elevated range. We both decided to serve us at the Mongolian buffet. What exactly is to be Mongolian, I can't say. There was a very extensive buffet of food known to me from other China restaurants, also a good selection of sushi. There were two soups offered: Beijing (Sauer-Sharf) soup and Tom Kha Gai, a Thai chicken soup. On the right side there were salads and desserts. There were even delicious cakes. A machine that looked like a soft ice maker was still out of operation. The most interesting was a long series of fresh fish and meat. You could put a plate together with everything you wanted to eat. Finally, a clip with the table number was clipped to the plate and gave it to the chef who was diligent at the end of the row. After some time, the plates were served with the prepared food by the waiters. Of course we tried it. Fish is not our taste; we stopped by the flesh. Chicken skewers, beef and veggies, noodles and sauce were put together and delivered. What we got served was delicious. The price for the buffet was not exactly cheap at 17.90 Euro. There was a lot to do. The ambience was Chinese, only not as cheesy as usual. Everything seemed simple, bright and welcoming. We felt comfortable right now. The toilets behind the room with the buffet were also welcoming. The restaurant is a house of long trails: from the entrance to the buffet and the toilets behind it you go a piece. If you don't want to go so far, you should book a table near the buffet room. Everything is accessible in a barrier-free manner (up to the raised middle part). I saw a disabled toilet. Some things still have to happen. That's how I missed information on what the clips on the table are meant with table number and letters. The system was explained to us by guests at the side table. We talked to two employees. We learned that the air conditioning has not yet been properly adjusted. Right, it was quite warm in the place. At noon the guests would have liked to eat à la carte and had to buy waiting time. Some things were still happening, the staff was partially re-established. Nevertheless, for the fact that on the opening day there is always some confusion, everything was organized quite well. We enjoyed the visit to the Royal Gourmet restaurant We will come back. At last we have such a nice place close to us."

Apart from the somewhat tedious and annoying staff, everything was great. They saw that the food was fresh at the buffet and was constantly filled so that the old one was placed... only manko were the parking lots, but we definitely come back

I was with friends on Sunday and we had “The Mongolian Buffet” all great. A beautiful location! The ambience and decoration and you feel good. with nice staff, you saw the food on the buffet was fresh and was constantly refilled and the old was taken away, each food was labeled so that you know what you eat, as well as the buffet the allergens characterized by letters, for me the price was appropriate as you have a wide selection of foods. Want to come back with my Chinese and Taiwanese friend, see what they say (food blogger). Unfortunately, they are abroad. with view of Prenzberg
