"Just left the Royal Tandoori in Whytleafe after my third visit here. Both previous occasions have been with friends and absolutely brilliant. I always sing the praises of this restaurant amd reccommend it tl everyone. Tonight however was somewhat different. I was made to feel quite welcome by the waiters. I was sat down at a table and promptly ordered the Wednesday Banquet Menu (which I 'd had before) alongside a large Kingfisher beer. The curry came and it seemed to lack the slightly creamy, saucy tqste and texture you 'd expect for a CTM. Having eaten in many Indian restaurants, this was not served as I 'd expected. I then asked for my bill and noticed I 'd been charged £4 for a tray of Chutneys which I am certain have always been included in the Benquet offer and have never been charged for previously. I explained this to a waiter and was given an apology. This was then taken off my bill and I was provided with a new receipt. I do not accept that this was a mistake and believe they were trying to con me as a lone diner. As a result I did not pay the 10% service charge and left with a rather bitter taste in my mouth. I very much doubt I will return which is rather sad as historically I 'd always enjoyed the food and hospitality. Oh and if you 're thinking of visiting on any day other than Wednesday, be prepared to pay a hefty bill as the A La Carte Menu is very, very expensive for what it is."

The food was exquisite (and I have had a lot of curries over the years). The taste of the food was significantly better than other curry houses, and of course everything was served piping hot. The service was amazing. Would definitely go again Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Nice atmosphere on a great night out with friends. Service was great and food was good but for the high price you'd have thought you were in central London. Couldn't justify eating here again at such prices. Asked for 2 portions of onion bhajis and got 2 onion bhajis which cost £9.50 in total ! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Superb food. It is your normal curry house with panache! The flavours are exquisite and refined. Next level food. It is quite pricey, but service and food is superb. The shaslik masala is superb and their samosas are delightful. Wine list is good with a range of different wines available. In a time where cost of living is an issue, it is worth spending a few pennies to come here. With it being an expensive restaurant, some local competitors offer a free drink at the end of the meal this would be a nice touch Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair friendly.

Felt very rushed to give our order and had to ask to be left alone for a few minutes whilst we actually sat down.... Popodoms with sauces 2Veggie starters (bhaji samosa) 1 Curry with side 1 Bottle of cheap white 2 0% small becks £107 Issues: Food plates were cleared away whilst we ate Checking the bill we realised they now charge £4 for sauce with pops....(we missed that in the menu) 3 Staff 'patrol ' the restaurant as you eat, walking up and down the galley setting.
