Ruben's Arepas - Menu

had the one and only vegan arepas. service was fast and friendly. wish that they can expand their vegan menu.

the vegan bowl was great (a bit pricy, although with 9.5 eur). also they actually accept card payment (it says cash money only at the time of review)

Sweet arepa shop with a great atmosphere and really nice staff, they have a vegan arepa, a vegan bowl and another vegetarian arepa bowl option. one of the young who work there, told me that they work on more vegan options, so keep them an eye for that!

I eat here regularly and so far had never issues (except feeling quite full, the arepas are very filling). they have one thing on the menu that‘s not gluten free. I never asked if they use the same frying oil for everything but simply skip everything fried

I had the vegan arepa (Coleada) with black beans, plantains, avocado, tomato and salsa. For 6€ it was good value for money as the food was tasty and filling (yet a bit messy to eat). Only downside was it took quite long to prepare for what should be fast food street food, so not the best option if you're in a hurry. View menu

We ate at Ruben’s twice in two days and loved it! Almost the whole menu is gluten free, so there are real options, and the three I tried are incredible. It’s a small place, but the owner-chef-manager knows about gluten and cooks his one gluten-containing item separate from the rest of the food. Great food. Amazing options. Ruben is kind and informed. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I was so often at ruben’s arepas when I don’t feel like cooking. the vegan coleada is fresh every time. plantain, avocado, tomato, black beans in a delicious mais bag. and it is all gluten-free. perfectly seasoned coconut sauce on top. I always come back and at 6 € it won't break my bank. they sometimes get very busy at the weekend, so give them time for eating to be prepared. it is always fresh and always worth it.

Sehr gute Arepas. Das Maismehl, das sie dafür verwenden, ist als gf gekennzeichnet. Es gibt allerdings auf der Karte ein glutenhaltiges Gericht (tequenos) was zwar separat zubereitet wird, was jedoch auf der Karte nicht als "glutenhaltig" markiert ist, obwohl Allergene auf der Karte eigentlich gekennzeichneten sind. Deshalb am besten immer nochmal nachfragen, da man sich auf die Karte, was die Allergenkennzeichnung angeht, nicht verlassen kann. View menu
