"Started by ordering a Leith Juice for myself as was early . When joined by my mate I recommended it to him so ordered another two. We then had food which was fine. Joined by another friend who ordered his own and two more. When they came they were very cloudy or hazy. We mentioned this to one of the bar staff who said she would look into it but never came back so I went to the bar and showed a young male possibly manager) and said we 'd had two pints prior which were not like this. He stated this was leith juice and how it came and that we had been drinking Leith Pils, despite asking for Leith juice from two different members of staff. I then asked what he could do for us and the reply was nothing. We decided to leave. We have drunk in Ryries on and off for decades and had not been in for quite a while. If this had happened before, which is very doubtful, we would have been given an alternative and the pints swapped as a gesture of good faith as the mistake was not ours. I don 't know which customer care course the young man has been on but would suggest he try another. Very Poor. 3 customers who won 't be back and will advise others not to bother either."

Ryrie’s bar is conveniently situated right by Haymarket station, it’s all dark wood and beautiful stained glass windows but it’s very much an old man’s pub and a place for the occasional undesirable. View menu

Sound bar and a good restaurant which offers a great atmosphere and pleasant staff. Give it a go, for you will not be disappointed. Far better than some other pubs in the vicinity. Just be careful on football match days.

The bar had a pleasant atmosphere and the staff were friendly and efficient. Our main reason for visiting was to see the Bay City Rollers memorabilia, but unfortunately the pub had been renovated and the plaque was no longer there.

A great pub located next to the train station. It has been recently renovated with beautiful decor. The pub is clean and comfortable, attracting both locals and tourists. The staff are friendly and attentive to all guests. They offer a wide selection of drinks, including gluten-free beer on tap, at reasonable prices. The toilets are clean and well-maintained. There is also an outdoor area with tables and chairs. Definitely worth a visit. View menu

We stumbled upon this wonderful spot for drinks and casual dining right next to Haymarket station and tram stop. We were impressed with their vast whisky menu, which spanned 4 full pages, as well as their cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a traditional pub feel in the bar area or a more trendy vibe upstairs for dining, this place delivers. The prices for both drinks and food are great. We indulged in a delicious cheese board that could rival any high-end restaurant, savoring every bite. Stop by for a drink or a meal, and you won't be disappointed.

Decided to give Ryries a try after a recommendation and it was right by my hotel on a very rainy evening. I’m glad I did. I sat upstairs which has great view of street. Service was excellent, was greeted by friendly bar man who couldn’t have been more helpful. I had 3 small plates which were tasty and plentiful, the chefs home made pigs in blankets were delicious. All in all a very pleasant meal and experience and at a good price with helpful and friendly staff. Good selection of beers and wines etc as well!Recommend to anyone who is In Haymarket area! I will definitely be back

"new kapitel has caught my attention after I was on top ten on trip advisor only months after the opening in the oktober last year. that and the fact that it is open for my early january birthday, made it the perfect place to celebrate to become a little older. I was with the man and his family. the man is quite used to my taste and good to the kind of kitchen that would appeal to me for a special occasion; his family not so much and I was filled with shame as his mother scornful went through the menu trying to find something she would enjoy. I've eaten with the family of the man, and I know they enjoy eating, so I think it's a failure of the menu that it is not accessible. the benming always blooming and garnish can appeal to some, but for others it is overcomplicated and it is necessary to find a balance between the two. we start with the starters and I go for venison sour wort pithvier. the venison was underheated and incredibly dry, to the happiness the sourded a little moisturizing and so saved the whole dish, but the aromen were quite not clear, except the garnitur of plastered mushrooms I thoroughly enjoyed. for the largest part we chose a fish dish for our main,- sea trout, smoked muddles, petersilien and coast herbs. where the starter fell, the main recording is getting back. the dish is rich and creamy, and each element adds the complexity of the taste as a whole, without disturbing. the concept is now an old one, and it would be deceptive if it had not worked, as it would essentially pay with this place. I enjoyed my meal in new chapter, although I do not agree with it is stellar status under the hierarchy of edinburgh eateries. it is top ten position is just a flash in the pan of hot popularity, and in time it will be plated in the upper half of the middle stage where it belongs. and that is where it belongs, the dishes can be plated with a michelin star in understood, and the venue and the supporting media has the clean lines and empty slate look of fine but eat the team has a long gone to go if that is their real aim. at the end, although it was a beautiful meal, and cheap (at the moment I would not be surprised to see their prices slowly rise) and the man’s mother found something they enjoyed and that is the most important."
