"We already knew the "Santa Maria" in Oranienstr. and we enjoyed it very much, although a bit 'expensive. Then we decided to try it in Friedrichshain. BAD BAD idea. There was an error in the Menu, I've ordered a ginger beer (0.33cl for 3 euro) but when the waitress brought us drinks it was a 0.20cl.I've said her that it was a mistake, she pretty rude and annoyed answer back that ginger beer is only in 0.20cl bottle, and the menu was wrong, that's it. Without apologize or perhaps asking if I'd have liked to change my order, since it was not my mistake. WORST WAITRESS EVER.The food was not as at the another restaurant, tasteless burrito and guacamole (two spoons of guacamole and a miserable handful of tortilla chips 7 euro) and fajitas was unsalted e dripping oil. AWFUL"

Had a burrito here.. was pretty below average but had an above average price of €8 so it was not worth it at all. Not sure why its always busy and has lots of good reviews.. maybe we just had bad luck?

Reasonably priced beer and a selection of great mexican food. I had a pulled pork quesadilla that was incredibly flavoursome, with some tasty little salsa and chilli sides. Will definitely return next time I'm in East side.

I've been here twice during past visits to Berlin. I really enjoy the burritos and tacos and the Mexican beer. The food is spicy for German standards, which I enjoyed. The service was friendly and I thought the prices were okay.

Sat at the bar for around 20 minutes while waiting for a table, ordered a mango frozen margarita which was good. Overall, if you want authentic Mexican food you won't find it here. Having said that for the price you pay it's good value. I had a pork burrito and it was nice. View menu

Bartender was clearly too cool for school, or his customers, with a decidedly surly attitude. The food was tasty (shout out to the pulled pork tacos), although the sweet potato and plantain missed the mark, and the portions reasonable. Better than average, but hardly 'very good'.

I ate here recently with friends and it was great. The restaurant was absolutely buzzing which is always a good sign. We all had burritos which were absolutely amazing, some of the best I've ever had. I'd really recommend washing them down with a Michelada. (Essentially a **** Mary made with beer!)

This is a nice little gem in trendy friedrichshain. A friend had recommended this place so three of us came here for dinner. A great choice - food was yummy and fairly authentic and the margaritas were great. It is a tiny place so not great for bigger groups. Many of the staff are English and the menus are in both English and German which is handy for visitors, and we heard English at many of the other tables. Don't expect a traditional restaurant though- it's more a funky bar that serves great food. View menu

I went on a Sunday afternoon and the place was almost empty, since it's not a brunch spot and brunch is the thing in Berlin on Sundays, however, I would say it's a perfect time to go because usually the place is packed and you need to wait for a seat.Eastside has a different menu to the Orannienstr. resto, which I think is a good approach because it doesn't feel like a chain.I had the pulled-pork burrito, and I was blown away! The blend of flavours with the spicy salsa was perfect, and it was perfectly prepared. I was really satisfied, I actually enjoyed it more than the Peurrco Especial (my favourite from the Orannienstr. resto).Well done!

Most of the food here is pretty authentic, and well above average for mexican in Berlin. They are a little more expensive but the food is quite good, and you can't really compare a cheap taco in Mexico to one in Berlin. The tacos seem to be authentic and hand made, while the nacho chips looked like they came out of a generic bag. We didn't try them but could see others eating them. The drinks were nicely priced during happy hour, and it looks like the deals on Taco Tuesday are really good, and I would guess it gets quite busy for 1.50€ tacos. The atmosphere is nice, and the staff were friendly. The place is quite small, so may not be the best for large groups.
