"We had Sunday lunch there. Hubby had the duck which was quite well cooked in comparison with other restaurants we've been to of the same price category. I had a salad, which was quite the standard German version of a salad, and my father in law ordered the ramschnitzel. The plate swam in sauce, also quite standard in German dishes, but the sauce really tasted severely of rama butter. We ordered kaiserschmarn for dessery and it was probably the worst one I had ever eaten. It was already cold and dry and at times very salty, leaving me to think that the salt was added as an afterthought and not stirred through properly. The location is lovely though and we had a lovely view of the mountains and the lake."

The Schatzberg is located in the middle of a green meadow, not far from the Ammersee, and gottlob is still a secret tip. Nevertheless, in summer it will quickly find a very good use in the small beer garden among apple trees in the production of an in-house apple juice, which is extremely tasty. The cakes here are fresh and homemade in summer there are also plug-in fish from the lake. On the pastures, lamas and fancy buffalo varieties a real idyll graze.

Via a small road that leads to a gravel slope at the end and which belongs to the matching name brick stadium, you will come to the restaurant Schatzberg-Alm with a beautiful beer garden. From there, in good weather you have a magnificent view of the mountains, between the trees the radio station Raisting stands out and around the corner you can still see the last corner of the Ammersee. We were there for coffee and cake, there were homemade pear nut cakes and potstrudel with a delicious latte. View menu
