"there was nothing to do in this top restaurant. you can choose between 2 menus, on the one hand the 4-course menu of the regional cuisine modernly interpreted, on the other hand the large gourmet-7 courses menu, which can also be downgraded to 6 or 5 courses. you can follow the weeping recommendations for the accompanying weeping or choose from the extensive weeping card. In addition to the menu there is an amuse bouche, in our case an adventskrenz, on which 5 small tasty per person were stuck around the gans. delicious! after dessert there were homemade pralins and suitable for the advent time baumkuchen. the service is inexorable and friendly and by no means superb. you have to pay €150 to €250 per person, depending on which wine you choose and whether you drink apéritif and digestif. a total of 4-5 hours is required for the 6-course menu, which is pleasant because you are not cured by the menu."

Super food, service, and atmosphere. The cidre-lavender sauce was something I'd crawl over broken glass for. I'll definitely come again.

If you want to try Riesling wines in Pfalz there is no better starting point than Deidesheim and Deidesheimer Hof. We had a very nice late summer dinner outside on the square, perfect service and a good choice of local wines View menu

We were not in gustative communion, with the dishes we had the opportunity to taste in this restaurant, including the specialty of the house the molded egg'. the kitchen is finally quite conventional and the mix of flavors does not seem to us to be successful. Anyway, for us the magic didn't work. The service was pleasant.

first class service, first class sommelier, there was nothing to complain. the kitchen could keep in the first steps, unfortunately no longer from the walks. the accompanied wee were excellent. that dessert in the cocussus had no star level for me too. what I personally do not like is the completely white device, even the chair covers are up to the floor in white.

While the menu clearly signals tradition and rusticity, the cooking is precise enough. We went for the selection of mixed appetizers and then, at two opposites end of what the menu has to offer, the vegetarian dish and the very traditional mixed meats, that is saumagen, wurst and klopse with sauerkraut. We were not disappointed. And the service was both friendly and efficient. View menu

we were once again in the black hahn to eat. that the time was standing in the restaurant decades ago was not new to us, but that we were served very unfriendly and unprofessional by the restaurant manager, was a new experience. our desire for a different table than in the next room with a view of an old illuminated rule with non-minor old wine bottles, was cut off, with the note "the tables are assigned according to the reservation receipt". we still stayed. the menu for proud eur 159 was very good at the beginning, but both meats were cut at best. on the part of the restaurant manager/solmmelier we were ignored all night (once he gave us wine). only the lady who served us the evening was k...

"A year ago we were in Hambel's restaurant in Wachenheim for the first time. Since we had the visit in very good memory and we now know the Saumagen, we can even say that we are back. It was a surprise from our friends, because Klaus Hambel gave a brief and interesting introduction to the production of Saumagen in the entrance area of his restaurant to the butcher shop. Admittedly, do not stumble via the word, but if you eat it, you like it. Mr. Hampel welcomed the 12 participants with a glass of champagne, of course from the basement of the neighboring city Wachenheim. And then it started. We now know everything (almost) about the production of the Saumagen. Mr. Hampel is a specialist in production and now has several flavors in his offer, which is even exported to Taiwan. I have already said to the report on the restaurant that Saumagen's acquaintance is due to the Palatinate Helmut Kohl. In Deidesheim, Deidesheimer Hof, by Starkochs, the Saumagen by Klaus Hambel, many public guests were presented. Mr. Hambel always solves his conversation with nice anecdotes about Helmut Kohl and other celebrities. It also explains from which meat parts and other ingredients the filling is made and which spices are used. How long and at what temperatures the stomachs are boiled. In the meantime, a fresh, warm classic soap is brought out of the kitchen and personalized by the boss. It tastes great on a bungalow. As further samples we receive a piece of soap with truffles and soaps with sheep cheese and chili. You can buy other varieties in butcher shop such as soaps with plums or with green pepper or with chestnuts (cheese as the plum says) or placed in rum for the cold season with apples and plums. It was a nice interesting hour. Then there was a door to the restaurant where we could enjoy the Palatinate cuisine. Interestingly, the big cook, no bowls and no swimmers; no swamp that understands his craft excellently. The project will always take place on Friday at 11 a.m. But who wants to ask for the dates. This year was the last date on 18.11. The Palatinate Saumagen is absolutely recommended. I have eaten it only 4-5 years after I have met the quality and taste and I am completely convinced. You just have to try the Saumagen."
