"We visited on Easter Monday. we were a party of six. I was surprised with how poor this restaurant experience was given it is within a 5 star restaurant. The staff were friendly but poorly trained. The room lacked any atmosphere. This wasn't helped by the type of screeching overbearing jazz music that gives you a headache. We waited about 40 minutes before our order was taken. The menu was very limited. There were only four main courses. (A steak, salmon, a burger or enchilada). I ordered the burger and fries. The burger and fries were €24. The burger was truly awful. It reminded of the frozen rubbery supermarket burger we ate as children in the late 1980's. I generally can eat most foods when hungry. I drew the line at this. My daughter had the salmon. It was €27 and was the size of a small mobile phone. When we asked for tap water having ordered two bottles of sparkling water, the waitress never came back with the water. My wife ordered tea. It arrived with no milk. We waited 5 minutes to get the attention of a waitress who finally brought the milk for the now cold tea. One waiter began spraying the empty tables beside us with cleaning spray while we were still dining. We were a party of six but had no alcoholic drinks and only one desert, the bill came to €210 for lunch. Having read other reviews it is clear that this poor attention to detail and truly average food (for the price) has been prevalent here for some time. In my view, you would be better served heading to Avoca Handweavers in Kilmancanogue for a fine lunch with delicious desserts and a great atmosphere."

One of the best meals I've eaten. Staff were brilliant, food was incredible. Faultless.

Best breakfast buffet I've ever had. Great variety from fry up to waffles, pastries, yogurts and fruits.

Excellent food! Wonderful evening with a delightful view overlooking the hills and gardens. Truly an exceptional restaurant with friendly staff and excellent service. Dessert was memorable!

My husband and I had the vegan 3 course option and the presentation of food and the flavors were excellent. We had an attentive waitstaff who were there but didn’t hover. Will go back again. View menu

Had dinner here in January with friends and it was excellent. Atmosphere, food and drink and staff were all excellent. The restaurant also has amazing views of Wicklow and the Sugar Loaf also.

Beautiful surroundings in the iconic Powerscourt. The food is, without exaggeration, the best I have tasted for some time. The surroundings are luxury, although the atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. The staff are very friendly and efficient, and are obviously well-trained. There is plenty of secure parking with wheelchair accessibility.

We set a reservation for Sika to follow our Wicklow Way hiking trip. We spent a few lovely hours at the Powerscourt Gardens and Distillery. We then walked to the Powerscourt Hotel, just a few minutes away. It was breathtakingly beautiful inside, as was the restaurant. The view from the Sika terrace was spectacular and the service was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our attendant, Elodie. She was a lovely young Irish ambassador and provided local recommendations. The meal was delicious. A highlight of the trip, our day at Powerscourt and lunch at Sika were outstanding. View menu

She was so bad that i started to be extra nice to her in order to get around her personal handg ups....she kept coming back to the table with bottles of sparkling water withoutout even asking us if we wanted another bottle. food was terrible and we were so hungry we had to eat again when we went home due to small portions....despite having three courses. sta...

I had lunch with friend a few days ago at Sika. I live a few minutes away and had not eaten in the hotel in over a year due to a few very poor quality meals on previous visits . However, my companion had never eaten at the hotel and was keen to try it. Reluctantly I agreed. The restaurant was totally devoid of atmosphere and although the staff were very friendly, their lack of experience and training was very evident. We chose from the limited lunch menu. My friends tiger prawn and chorizo main course was bland and tasteless. I ordered the gourmet burger. It arrived in a brioche bun with fries on the side no garnish or anything else on the plate not even a lettuce leaf! The burger was overcoo...
