"Awful service! Booked a table for 6 for 18:45 and initially everything seemed ok ,however, as soon as the waiter came to take our drinks order that's where it all went down hill. The waiter disappeared for 20 minutes and then reappeared with only 3 drinks. Finally after another 15 minutes we all had our drinks and were ready to order. We were told 2 out of the 4 fried breads for the starters were out of stock, it was only 19:00 and there were only 4 other parties there! We were also told the raita may be out of stock as well! We finally placed our order and as the waiter read our order back we realised he had missed a few dishes. He promptly added them and went off. Another waiter came over and we asked if the flat bread was available and he said yes and said he would ensure if came with our starters. 20:00 the starters finally came, painfully slowly one dish followed every 10 to 15 minutes! No flat bread or raita ever showed up. 21:00 no sign of our mains and no sign of additional drinks we had ordered until we complained. The mains turned up at 21:20 a full 2hours 20 mins later! The waiter failed to clear the table and we had to tell him to take the starter cutlery away before serving the mains. 22:15 we asked for the bill and were left waiting for 20 minutes and only after threatening to leave we were given the bill! Severe lack of staff and service. We were informed the main waiter had gone back home and the 3 waiter there were new. Food was mediocre and not worth the money, chef was walking around and not actually addressing the severe lack of staff or dinners waiting for their food. Would not recommend at all."

"We visited on Easter Monday. we were a party of six. I was surprised with how poor this restaurant experience was given it is within a 5 star restaurant. The staff were friendly but poorly trained. The room lacked any atmosphere. This wasn't helped by the type of screeching overbearing jazz music that gives you a headache. We waited about 40 minutes before our order was taken. The menu was very limited. There were only four main courses. (A steak, salmon, a burger or enchilada). I ordered the burger and fries. The burger and fries were €24. The burger was truly awful. It reminded of the frozen rubbery supermarket burger we ate as children in the late 1980's. I generally can eat most foods when hungry. I drew the line at this. My daughter had the salmon. It was €27 and was the size of a small mobile phone. When we asked for tap water having ordered two bottles of sparkling water, the waitress never came back with the water. My wife ordered tea. It arrived with no milk. We waited 5 minutes to get the attention of a waitress who finally brought the milk for the now cold tea. One waiter began spraying the empty tables beside us with cleaning spray while we were still dining. We were a party of six but had no alcoholic drinks and only one desert, the bill came to €210 for lunch. Having read other reviews it is clear that this poor attention to detail and truly average food (for the price) has been prevalent here for some time. In my view, you would be better served heading to Avoca Handweavers in Kilmancanogue for a fine lunch with delicious desserts and a great atmosphere."
