"the market hall nine was opened as “Markthalle IX” in 1891. Since then, she has experienced a changeable history that is documented in detail on the website. I think she's a good idea as a railway market hall. In the meantime, she has taken over the historical name that I am not getting so warm. until a few years ago, it looked like this market hall would share the fate of many berliner market halls: in 1977 aldi moved in, drospa and kik followed. the market hall was getting down more and more, which were still in existence. more local people used to get the market hall back to a market operation and, what rarely happens, successfully. now a weekly market takes place on Fridays and Saturdays from 10.00 h to 18.00 h. Thursdays there are from 17.00 h to 22.00 h the street food thursday. café and kantine, open from 12.00 h to 16.00 h on Monday to Saturdays and there are various themed markets. the occasion of our visit was such a thematic market. the craft spirits festival took place from Thursday to Saturday. on Saturday we came to the market of the festival because we wanted to look at the fine drops of smaller distillery and of course try. we drove with the bwg to the market hall, so we could both try without a doubt. at the railway station görlitzer railway station we got out. a narrow staircase down to the middle floor, then a wider staircase to the road. how long has it been that I went out at such a train station... it went over the lukeatic square to the railway road. this one more piece along, then we were on site, even though in the opposite the gentrification has already begun, it is still so blurred that I do not want to hang over here dead. 36. the market hall compensated for the way through so 36: it was bright and friendly, the stands were built on the walls and in the walks. mainly food is offered. partly bio eco ware for the now living in the opposite clientele, partly “normal” were for all other customers. in the middle of the hall hing a large clock from the deck. the old pillars of support have been preserved, one looked at the hall from which time they came. I felt comfortable here right now as I love old market halls. the stalls of the craft spirits festival were built in the broad middle class. we tried diligently what interested us, collected prospectively, bought a few small bottles to close. in between we gone on a pizza stand sheet pizza. on the wall there were burial and benches, so we could eat in sitting. also were clean toilets available. I didn't get enough of the beautiful hall, but at some point we had to go. this time my companion led me through a few dark side streets to a bus stop. the bus brought us to the train station gneisenaustraße. so another tour through the wilde kreuzberg. through such festivals I meet against the berlin that I would not necessarily enter voluntarily: the market hall with its stands invites you to visit. we can only recommend driving there once. the current program can be seen on the website."

great things about eating! unfortunately often costly for small portions and meanwhile no secret tip means: very overflowing. I think that there are many streetfoodmarkets of this kind that are not so well known and therefore perhaps more cozy! View menu

kiez: the market hall uses the neighbourhood as a sales argument from here, anchored in kiez, blabla. but the neighbourhood offers only more and more rapid shift by increasing the rent and increasing the cost of living. Yeah, we want to eat good, but for everyone!

here there are among others berlin's first sustainable fishing ravine. in glut spine, the fish fans are coming to their cost. a freshly smoked still warm fish, (e.g. salmon) with salad and broth tastes just delicious. räuchermeister micha knows herself and knows the origin and method of catching the fish he offers on the most accurate.

great, nostalgic eventlocation in the hearts of Kreuzbergs! Not only that can be bought here under the week classic, there is often a event with a flee market character or even small, specialized trade fair. be it the Cheese-Berlin, the aftermarket or the selfmade supermarket- every time I am thrilled by the diverse offer in a pleasant atmosphere. just the KIK fashion market doesn't want to fit into the picture?! aldi must stay. the market halls nine operators have announced aldi in the hall. he should be until 31.07.2019, the aldi must not go here in the kiez kreuzberg has a right participation, even the people with less money that depend on aldi and cannot buy expensive eco-products. aldi announces that it is a limit that it is a gentrification for the inhabitants of the market room nine, which once promised to be a hall for all. we will fight for our aldi all!

I still know the market hall 9 from the time it was simply the railway market hall. Since then, she has become a kind of hipster meeting. besides the old-fashioned discounter there are now at the stands mainly organic goods: eggs, sausages, cheese, meat, wine and regional seasonal vegetables. it can also be eaten and drunk directly in front of the place. the atmosphere is hip but pleasantly relaxed. I can recommend the Street Food Thursday . here offer between 17.00 and 22.00 semi-profeesionelle chefs their tasty. it goes international and it has been joyful to try the most different small foods. tasty were the late and also the Jamaican stand there was a lot to taste. so real streetfood was...
