"Waitresses were awful tonight. Arrogant, snappy and patronising as if talking to a child. I had booked at least 1 week ago, and 2 days before the visit I got a call asking to postpone the booking for 15 min which I accepted. When we turned up they kept us waiting for at least 10 -15 more minutes saying customers were still at the table although they paid. I objected and asked them to tell the next booking is waiting and it’s already late. We didn’t see anyone leaving as we were standing at the narrow gate. After 10-15 min we were called the table was ready. When we asked for the check we were kept waiting half an hour. The other 2 tables asked for the bill around the same time and they had the check and payment machine but we deliberately were kept minimum 15 min for the check and even more to get the payment processor. When asked for payment processor she snappily replied she needed to finish tidying the table behind us and then afterwards off she disappeared. In the end I got up to pay. Message received: ‘if you criticise me for not having your table ready at the booked time I will keep you waiting at my leisure’. She was horrible. Food was ok but overpriced. When we ordered dessert they didn’t have contents or description of the desserts on the menu, just names. My daughter (15) ordered chocolate cake. She tasted and said nice but very strong flavour. I tasted a small bit and realised alcohol inside it. I called the waitress and asked her, when confirmed there was no alcohol in it, I insisted and she went and checked, came back to confirm it has rum inside. When I said she’s 15, waitress removed the cake from in front of her. This is a perfect example how not to serve customers at a nice restaurant. Very unprofessional and immature. If you don’t enjoy it, don’t do that job. You both just spoilt our evening, congratulations!"

The restaurant is overpriced for the quality of food it serves; the fondue was mediocre at best.

My family and I visited this restaurant with relatives who were familiar with it. Despite its small size, the atmosphere was cozy and the food was excellent. View menu

This is my second time at St Moritz restaurant. It's like being in Switzerland again. The food, the wine, the atmosphere, everything is perfect and special. Ein kleiner Schweiß in London. View menu

Enjoyed a really convivial and tasty meal at St Moritz this evening. Very friendly and professional sevice throughout, reasonable prices, cosy decor and truly delicious and indulgent food. My pals enjoyed their frogs legs and pate to start. My French onion soup was a treat. The fondue was terrific. No room at all for dessert, alas. Wouldn’t hesitate to return!

Visiting a restaurant, perusing the menu, selecting a dish only to be informed later that it is unavailable is frustrating and disrespectful. It is important to notify customers ahead of time. The fondue lacked the distinctive flavors of genuine gruyere and emmental cheese. I question if the cheeses used were authentic. It appears that the culinary standards at this establishment are not aligned with those of us who value high-quality food, particularly after spending 180 pounds for a meal for two.

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
