"the coffee in the trendy caffe is the best, better than the Italian :-) in the summer you can sit comfortably out. Inside it is often too crowded on the afternoon to get another place. lunch is quite simple and therefore cheap, but not the best address to eat something super fine. there's just one Thai manoe. especially to mention is that the personal is very child-friendly and there is a play-cat. a secret tip: children can order a "children's caappucino" for free (in there is only milk and milk foam) but our son loves it."

Das Stadcafé in Sursee gibt es seit ich Sursee kenne und das sind immerhin mehr als 20 Jahre. Es hat seinen gemütlichen Charakter bewahrt und ist immer einen Besuch wert. Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

in the evening during the stedtlifescht 2016 we found a table in front of the local one by chance, because we wanted to sit and watch it hard, this table was ideal for our project. despite the full house and the coming and going as in a beeen house (in the local also the football EM was transferred), we were quickly and very friendly. we like to come back.

"Hiking up from the city of St.Gallen my colleague and me felt like a snack, when we arrived at Waldegg (983m asl) and before continuing on the well known 'Eggweg ' hike. We had just crossed the invisible cantonal border and were now in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden. The Waldegg is a popular excursion point, mainly for its great views of the Alpstein mountain range, which was hidden by clouds, when we were there. There is a big terrace with outdoor seating, but we preferred to sit inside in the 'heimelige ' (cozy) interior with lots of wood, with a green tiled stove and with cow bells as decoration. My friend and me first ordered from a friendly German waiter a 'Saft ' as in Northeastern Switzerland a cider is called. In other parts of Switzerland it is known as a 'Suure Most '. To eat we went for a local speciality: Appenzeller Pantli, a sausage for raw consumption, that is an IGP trademark (Indication géographique protégée). To an outsider it might look like a rectangular salami, just as two similar Swiss sausages: 'Landjäger ' and 'Salsiz ' from the Grisons, which have also been put into a mould during preparation. The difference is in the ingredients and the preparation. Very typical for the Appenzeller Pantli is its garlic taste, but there is also pepper in it. Its shape comes from being stacked into a press box before being sundried and cold smoked. At the restaurant Waldegg it was cut-up lengthwise, which I have never seen before, and it was then nicely served on a wooden board, together with pickles and dark bread. We enjoyed that 'Zvieri ', as in this part of the world an afternoon snack is called."
